On Our Radar: Christmas Stockings by Top Designers

How cool would it be to get a Christmas stocking created by either Vera Wang, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Tuleh, Rodarte, or the boys from Heatherette? Well, starting Wednesday, December 19 at 6 p.m. PST, cool can become a reality. WWD has asked these top designers to create and stuff one-of-a-kind Christmas stockings for charity.

All of the proceeds from the five-day eBay auction will benefit Citymeals-On-Wheels, an organization that provides nutritious food and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need. Some of the goodies to look forward to are a Marc Jacobs ribbon watch, Broadway tickets, a Tuleh ostrich clutch and a Heatherette tank top.

Lydia Hearst for Puma Bags: Love It or Hate It?

Model of the week Lydia Hearst has teamed up with Heatherette designers Traver Rains and Richie Rich to design a collection of handbags for sportswear brand Puma.

The 10 limited-edition Puma Lydia bags, around $100, are inspired by the French 77 Racket Bag. On Tuesday, Lydia (left) proudly modeled two of her bags at a press brunch in NYC. They're patent, sporty, but would you be caught with one at the gym?

Sweet Chocolate Couture

Two of girls' best friends-in this case, chocolate and fashion-collided at the 9th Annual Chocolate Show, held last Thursday in New York City. Some of the designs were absolutely gorgeous, like the Willy Wonka-inspired masterpiece and vampiric design above. Others, meanwhile, were totally gross-notably, the model with strips of chocolate running down her legs. For the fashion portion of this choco-centric event, top pastry and confection chefs worked with fashion designers, including Rebecca Taylor, Abaete, and Heatherette, to create the over-the-top and edible clothes. NY Fashion Week: Heatherette

With Paris and Nicky Hilton on its runway and two wacky designers behind its fashions, it's no surprise that the Tuesday night show from Heatherette was one of the most buzzed-about events at New York Fashion Week. The models, which also included Mena Suvari and Kelis, strutted out a smorgasbord of styles ranging from lavender and gold lame to leopard and Hawaiian prints to country-club fashions gone a little nutty.

Created by designer duo Traver Rains and Richie Rich, Heatherette's clothes are admittedly off-kilter, but several innovative ideas stood out, including alphabet-print fabrics, voluminous appliques, and some truly creative layering. On Our Radar: The Lunchbox Gets a Makeover

Who said lunchboxes are only for kids? The Lunchbox Auction, along with chef Mario Batali and Michael Stipe, has summoned a slew of creative celebrities to customize a lunchbox targeted towards adults. From now until Thursday, December 18, 12:00 p.m. EST, you can bid on one, or multiple lunchboxes by the likes of Diane von Furstenberg, Gwyneth Paltrow, Heatherette, Liv Tyler, Eva Mendes, and more. My bid goes to Kelly Klein's ode to old-school supermodels like Bridget Hall and Christy Turlington, opening bid $100 (seen below). Each auction has a different opening bid price but all proceeds benefit hunger relief. Good luck and happy bidding!

Model of the Week: Lydia Hearst

You may recognize the last name of Model of the Week Lydia Hearst from the magazine company, the castle and, of course, from her great-grandfather, William Randolph Hearst. But Lydia is more than an heiress. She is a model, an activist, a philanthropist, a socialite and a designer of sorts - she is coming out with a Puma Lydia Handbag in November.

She was born on September 19, 1984, as Lydia Marie Hearst Shaw in Wilton, CT. She always loved fashion and makeup so a modeling career was something that suited her passions. Lydia first got her start in modeling with Ford Models and is currently with ONE Model Management.

She has been a part of big campaigns for Prada, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Moschino Cheap & Chic, DKNY, Bottega Veneta, Heatherette, Neiman Marcus, PUMA, Saks Fifth Avenue, Jovovich-Hawk, and Roberto Cavalli for H&M.

She has also appeared on the covers of many magazines like Avenue, Hellas and L'Uomo Vogue, New York Magazine, Marie Claire Japan, BON, Flaunt and Nylon.

My photo albums. Clothing is just materialistic. I love fashion, it's what I do, but it doesn't define me. Memories are irreplaceable.

Prague.

Phillip Lim, Chanel, Marchesa, Dries Van Noten, Heatherette, Gap and Puma.

What are three words that describe your personal style?
Eclectic, sophisticated, edgy. There is no such thing as bad fashion; it is all a form of self-expression.

Model of the Week: Caroline D'Amore

Model of the Week Caroline D'Amore is known in the press as a "Hollywood It Girl" and you may have seen her hanging out with pal Paris Hilton at chic soirees. The 23-year-old grew up in Malibu, California, but she moved to New York City at the age of 17 to pursue a modeling career. Since then, the dark beauty has appeared on covers and inside magazines like Teen Vogue, Santa Barbara Magazine, Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, Flaunt and Nylon.

Paper Magazine recently selected Caroline for their beautiful people issue and deemed her "The cutest girl in L.A!" What's more, the petite model has strutted her stuff for such designers as Heatherette, Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg and Agent Provocateur.

FAB: What is the most memorable show you walked in?
CD: The most memorable show that I ever walked in was probably the Heatherette show. I still to this day can’t believe I pulled it off. I actually have no idea how I booked that show because in the audition they put us in these ridiculously high stripper heels and then told us to walk. I, of course, fell right there in front of everyone. When my agents at Nous called me and told me I booked I was like “Why? How?” But I was excited anyways. Then the show was even scarier because of those same heels. And on top of it we didn’t get to walk on a normal runway. It was a circus theme and we had to walk through a dirt covered circus ring. All I remember was saying over and over “please don’t fall” and I didn’t fall. Yay!

FAB: If your house was burning down and you could only save one clothing item, what would it be and why?
CD: It would be my bright red Audrey Hepburn pea coat from Petrazillia. Even though it looks like a Christmas gift I just love the timeless style of it and the warmth that it gives me.

FAB: What is one destination you still need a stamp for on your passport?
CD: The one destination that I still need a stamp for in my passport is Tanzania. I really want to go on a safari and see all the zebras and monkeys.

FAB: Who are your favorite designers?
CD: Stella McCartney, Primp and Diane Von Furstenberg.

FAB: What are three words that describe your personal style?
CD: Rocker, flirty, and chic.

FABTV: Bryan Adams "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me is You"

To add to my enthusiasm for attending New York fashion week I thought I could bring you some runway-inspired FABTV!

As you are reading this I am probably en route to the Big Apple. So I'll pretend to close my eyes and envision the saturated scene that is Bryan Adams "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me is You" video. Who knew Bryan was so fashionable? With the acid brights and runway full of the usual fashion characters: models, drag queens, models who look like drag queens - it's sort of like a Heatherette show! (Which I will be attending next week, btw). A polished Bryan takes breaks in the bathroom while the runway tickles our senses. May each show I attend be filled with excitement, theatrics and, of course, fabulous clothes!
