I can't think of a chicer way to stay warm right now than velvet leggings. They're cozy and luxurious, a more mature cousin of the liquid legging. These Alice + Olivia Velvet Leggings ($128) are one of the many I've spotted.

They're sweet, they're easy, they're back. If you dig deep, you probably have a peasant top of yesteryear ready to revive. They have an intrinsic hippie vibe, but pair one with some black leather and it's a whole new feel.

I usually associate parkas with Starter jackets and football games — not anymore. The new wave of fitted parkas are designed with the city girl in mind. This year's crop boasts glossy finishes and slim shapes.

I have dabbled in the craft of beading. For me, though, it is very elementary stuff, you know, earrings and bracelets for my friends. That's why when I saw this look from the Fall Zac Posen runway I was in awe.

At first glance, luvpizaman might appear to be going dotty on us, but after closer examination, it's clear she's not. Mixing dots and pinstripes takes a serious eye for pattern placement. Good eye.

White is in the air, and beyond. It all started when we were struck by white lightening, and then there were the white accessories, white shades, and just an overall influx of white. So it's no surprise that as the weather heats up, the celebs are looking heavenly in dresses of this hue.

Ok so this first model in a serious maxi dress looks like a tree, but that is the effect the longest dress of all can help one achieve. I was actually just on a hunt for a maxi dress and ended up scoring an awesome black silk Corey Lynn Calter one. I wore it to Fashion Week Live last month.

Love her or love to hate her, Angela Keslar won last night's Project Runway challenge to design a three-piece outfit for Macy's INC International Concepts Fall 2006 collection. Here's Angela's winning military-inspired design:
