I'm taking advantage of Memorial Day weekend by heading down to sunny LA. I'll be soaking up the rays on the beach, swimming, and heading to Disneyland! Fab Flash: J. Crew on Film

We're not the only ones wondering what it's like behind the seams at J. Crew. Who are these masterminds and how do they create such amazing (affordable) pieces? Well, after a year of visiting J. Crew headquarters, CBS’s Sunday Morning is giving us an exclusive inside look at the company and its CEO, Millard “Mickey” Drexler. Footage includes daily meetings, photo shoots, and store concept walk-throughs - this is where the magic happens, people! The film will also show Drexler’s famous loudspeaker “pages” where he updates the entire staff on developments. Sounds like a cool work environment. Oh, did you know Drexler rides his bike to work every day? Cool.

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Betsey Johnson

Betsey Johnson started her show with herself, carrying her granddaughters. Aw. It's clear Betsey is loving life with her growing family, and why not? Her company celebrated 30 years in the fashion business this year, with no signs of flailing. With a Sesame Street set and kiddie music, it was clear this was going to be a very youthful collection. And it was, with the first set wearing colorful separates, hoop skirts, bloomers, and ruffles.But then a jesting pirate appeared, and the tone shifted to Pirates of the Caribbean. Let the amusement begin! This bit sent down very wearable black separates and striped basics - this was very tame for Betsey, alas, it was cute. Kelly Osbourne seemed amused, in her turquoise BJ party dress. The rest of the show delivered adorable mini floral pieces and wedding dresses. I didn't know Betsey was venturing into bridal, and though the models were in handcuffs, the dresses were flirty and sexy - perfect for the adventure-loving bride.

On Our Radar: Earl Jeans Are Back With a Vengeance

Any old-time Earl Jean fans in the house? OK, the brand isn't that old. Let's just say, before there was J Brand, there was Earl. If you like the no-frills, body-hugging style of J Brand, you'll love the relaunched Earl. I used to shop at their store in SoHo, New York, and was addicted to the original skinny jean, as well as their jean jackets (I still wear my dark-denim one and white one).

They made great men's jeans, too. If you didn't wear Earl, you probably at least heard about celebrities wearing them: they were the first premium denim line to have celebrity attachment in the late 1990s. The brand folded around 2005 and is back for Fall '08 under new ownership with Arnold Simon - who used to the be the CEO of Calvin Klein Jeans. Look forward to more original skinnies as well as boot cut, straight leg, super flare, pretty much every style you can think of, in every wash imaginable. The best part: They will be more affordable. Prices will range from $78 to $128. Go-to retailers will include Macy's, National Jean Company, and Fred Segal.

Without Betsey Johnson, I would have gone to many high school dances naked. She was, still is, my go-to designer for funky party dresses, and for that I am thankful. What would you like to thank Betsey for? A vintagey frock? A rocked out handbag? A ruffled cardigan? Girlie jewelry? Betsey is celebrating 30 years in the fashion business this year. Her company remains privately owned, and she currently has more than 70 stores worldwide, 800 wholesale accounts, and 10 licensees. But most impressive of all, Betsey has remained true to her ultrafemme, ultrafun aesthetic. Join me in wishing our favorite cartwheeling designer a big congratulations by testing your Betsey knowledge - how well do you know Betsey J?!

Fab Flash: Upward Ho! J. Crew Going Lux

If you've been noticing the rise in prices at J. Crew on certain items, don't worry, you haven't been seeing things (I noticed it too). Since last Spring, a soft launch of their new luxury line, the J. Crew Collection, has been going on; hence the $595 cashmere jacket or the $1,950 silk gown.

The Collection will include dresses, outerwear, shoes, handbags, and jewelry; basically any area that designer goods usually cover. And J. Crew is serious about their new line: they've forged new partnerships with fabric companies like Clerici, who has provided silk for Vera Wang and Chanel.

This Fall, some of the limited edition items will launch with a mini website, and on April 22, the first store solely devoted to the J. Crew Collection will open in Manhattan at 1035 Madison Avenue. After all, they mean business!

I've always loved pajama parties. There's something about cozy company, popcorn, and a scary movie that will always bring a wave of nostalgia. Now that I'm (cough) older, the soda might be replaced with champagne, but don't expect us to behave. Help me find a outfit that will take me back in time. Pillow fight, anyone?

On Our Radar: J Brand Goes Green

J Brand, the wildly popular denim line, is the latest to jump on the green wandbagon. The company, headed by denim manufacturer Jeff Rudes and stylist Susie Crippen, is planning on releasing J Brand Green Label, an organic collection of stylish denim. As of Spring '08, you'll be able to get your tush in eco-chic J Brand jeans. In the meantime, Jeff and Susie provide some other ways to be friendly to the environment.

Exclusive Fab Interview with Angelina Jolie's Stylist Jennifer Rade

Longtime stylist Jennifer Rade calls herself the Wicked Witch of Wardrobe, and I'll add to that the busiest stylist working today. I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer a few years back at a Gap Bra Bar event for which she was the spokesperson. I recall the sassy stylist referring to Angelina Jolie, whom she works with closely, simply as Angie. In addition, she's styled music videos (Avril Lavigne, Marilyn Manson, Pink) and commercials, the most recent one being the Jovovich-Hawk for Target one. Jen took a few minutes out of her hectic day to chat with Fab about Angie, her style icons, and what every girl should carry in their purse.

What are your three favorite Angelina Jolie outfits that you've styled?

I think Oscars from 2004 (the cream Marc Bouwer), Mr. & Mrs. Smith premiere (the leather Versace), and Ocean's 13 premiere in Cannes (yellow Peter Dundas for Ungaro).

If your house was burning down and you only had time to save one clothing item, what would it be and why?

Tough question. I would probably try to grab my great grandmother's purses since they've been around so long. Really, I would save nothing other than myself, my husband, and our dogs, because clothing is replaceable.

What should every girl have in their purse in case of a fashion emergency?

Double sided fashion tape or toupee tape, like Hollywood Fashion Tape, Topstick, or Bug Catcherz. It's like the duct tape of the fashion world!

As a stylist, do you feel the pressure of always dressing uniquely?

No. I dress in a casual and classic style. Cool flats (I am obsessed with Elisa Ferare!) with great jeans (J Brand skinny, Paige boot cut, Ranahan Wide Leg) and a simple top. Maybe a cool accessory like a vintage necklace or a few stacking rings from Tiffany or Gurhan or J. Herwitt.

Who are your style icons and what do you admire so much about them?

Wow, this is so hard. Katharine Hepburn, a pioneer and so classic and timeless. Talitha Getty, just cool and bohemian. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: I love that they do their own thing and take chances. Kate Moss because she wears clothes, they never wear her. Princess Diana, Catherine Deneuve, Diane Von Furstenberg, Sophia Loren . . . it's kind of an endless list.

Can you take me behind the scenes of the Target commercials?

I recently styled the new Jovovich-Hawk for Target commercial and it was so fun! Carmen and Milla are so funny and the clothes are awesome! I love working with Target, great company, great ad agency, and we always have a great time working together.
