If you're looking for an effortlessly chic costume this year, look no further than Jackie O. Unfortunately she left us in 1994, but her legacy and style will live on forever. Among the signature pieces in Jackie's closet were oversize round sunglasses, pillbox hats, pearls, a khaki trench coat, black flats, bow headbands, and cropped pants.

I recently visited Anthropologie and was sidetracked by a fabulous book: What Would Jackie Do? An Inspired Guide to Distinctive Living by Shelly Branch and Sue Callaway ($13). If you admire Jackie O as much as I do, you will fall in love with this book.

To you, this American Apparel Unisex Sheer Jersey Scarf ($15) may look like your average scarf, but let me and Fab reader Lolita29 tell you, it's not. I just came across a photo of Lolita wearing the scarf as a sweetheart-style top. I know scarves are sometimes worn as tops, but hers doesn't look like a scarf worn as a top; it looks like a top.
