There's no doubt the young actress exudes a fun attitude on the red carpet. Her variety of frocks ranged from printed maxis to leg baring hemlines. I love seeing Gossip Girl Leighton Meester in something other than her preppy on-screen gear. While she and Blair both have impeccable style, Leighton isn't afraid to let her hair down. The actress attended Shop Til It Stops in NYC decked out in one of her favorite designers, Brian Reyes. The fitted blazer downplays the fanciness while the Stuart Weitzman peep-toe platforms pull it all together with polish. The studded cuff is an expert finishing touch.

A while back I told you the Russian is coming, and now she's here. Kira Plastinina opened her first US boutique in LA, and gaggles of celebs came out to congratulate the teenager. Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, who wore a strapless orange bubble dress and gold Gucci sandals, was among the best dressed attendees. The bright orange hue and gold accessories complement her flawlessly. Props to her for rounding out the look with a black snakeskin clutch instead of matchy matchy gold.

Trend Alert: Ombre

Ombre is beginning to rear its pretty head and while it feels very warm-weathery, I'm already seeking a new ombre addition. I'm still on the fence though - some of these items are dope, while some of them are dull. Here's the dilemma: It's a trendy motif, but only looks good on fine fabrics. Case in point: ombred fur at J. Mendel's Spring '08 show (pictured). Thus, one should seek out an ombre that looks expensive but doesn't break the bank. Ah, the trials and tribulations of fashion . . .

Actress Susan Sarandon's daughter, Eva Amurri, wore the exact dress at the Atonement after party. Julianne exudes trendiness and youth, while Eva appears more sophisticated and serious. Fab's December Most Wanted

Another year gone by, another year to come! Every year seems plentiful if you keep your watch on the ever-fickle world of fashion. What was in a year ago is not so in now, in some cases though, trends prevail. This can be interpreted on a personal level too. December is a time to reflect back on the year and think good thoughts; I never think it's healthy to start a new year as a negative Nancy. So let's raise our glasses and kick up our booties in an ode to 2007. Here are some things to get me through the stressful, but blissful, final month of the year.
