Karl Lagerfeld's Apartment Is Back on the Market

Last year, designer Karl Lagerfeld listed his 50 Gramercy Park North apartment for $6.5 million, then dropped the price by over $1 million, and finally took it off the market. Now, the three-bedroom apartment, which Lagerfeld purchased in 2006, is back on the market for $5.2 million, according to Curbed. Both a reimagining and an homage to the label's signature aesthetic, Karl Lagerfeld plays in tweed, sporty silhouettes, and whimsical layers and texture (and bejeweled eyebrows) for Chanel's Fall 2012. Lagerfeld's all-star cast (minus a noticeably absent Freja), including Miranda Kerr, Joan Smalls, and Anja Rubik, took to the catwalk of a snowy white cave, done up in crystal embellishments that mirrored the life-size versions set on the runway. That in itself set the mood for whimsy, which only became more pronounced in Karl's colorful, metallic-embellished visions for Fall - shimmer reflected in slim pants, sparkly-tinged knits, and sheer skirts. Meanwhile, Chanel's tweed got the rainbow treatment, as did the offering of diaphanous frocks with a dose of soft brights. Outerwear maintained the label's sophistication, though the flair for drama was evidenced in roomier silhouettes, some that gave way to boxier shapes with sloped, rounded shoulders, but more that skimmed and highlighted curves in hourglass proportions. That's not to say that it was "ladylike" - very little here spoke to Chanel's ladylike sense. In fact, the feel was overwhelmingly sportier. Even when textures were dressed up in rich metallic detail, shapes were more nonchalant - tunics and dresses layered over pants and perfectly slouchy knits topped trousers. There was nothing too literal; even in playfulness, Karl never overcommits. Jewel tones and geometric details felt fresh, and proportional play felt casual, not overworked. He knows exactly how to draw us in with the theatrics of his runway, but never loses sight of what we've all come to see.

Colors: Black, green, white, fuchsia, purple, yellow, gray, teal, blue.
Key Piece: The textured metallic trousers were amazing.

Fendi Fall 2012

Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Fendi joined forces to create an apocalyptic-chic collection for Fall 2012 - the wintery, forest-inspired vibe was evident, as models walked the runway in luxe layers of patent PVC and colored fur, looking gorgeously aggressive and ready for battle. Most of the pieces looked as if they had been literally cut from different cloths - oversize fur coats with contrasting sleeves, leather dresses with pleated bustles and wide corset belts, and tailored coats with cowhide bibs - all fashioned in a woodsy color palette of greens, navies, and neutrals. Models' makeup was left mostly natural, save for white wings painted on their eyelids to mimic Lagerfeld's "snow on branches" aesthetic, and hairstylist Sam McKnight created strong, severe coifs to further lend to the collection's Victorian warrior princess vibe. Kristen Stewart arrived in France just yesterday, but she's already had a busy 24 hours. She ducked inside of a restaurant with Karl Lagerfeld today and was greeted by a swarm of fans when she headed out to the street. Kristen posed for pictures and stopped to sign autographs, though she later had the help of a bodyguard to escape the crowd. It was a big day for the actress, who was still sporting the dramatic makeup she donned for an earlier photo shoot. Kristen wore a huge ball gown and posed among horses while apparently shooting a Vanity Fair cover with photographer Mario Testino. Kristen was joined by her Snow White and the Huntsman costars Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron in LA on Friday, when the group sat down in front of the cameras for yet another magazine spread.

Miranda, Drew, Blake and Elizabeth Go Glamorous For Tribute to Pedro Almodovar

The Museum of Modern Art played host to a bevy of beautiful women at "A Tribute to Pedro Almodovar" Tuesday evening in NYC. Two of Pedro's good friends and cinematic muses, Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, were honorary cochairs for the soiree and past honorees at the annual event have included Tim Burton in 2009 and Kathryn Bigelow in 2010. Blake Lively and Chloe Moretz were both in stunning Chanel concoctions and had Karl Lagerfeld himself accompanying them to the event. Miranda Kerr traded in her edgy mom leather pants and high tops for a form-fitting Peter Pilotto dress and Nicolas Kirkwood heels and Sarah Jessica Parker pulled off a sleeveless pea coat.

Elizabeth Olsen, who continues to get high praise and award season buzz for her role in Martha Marcy May Marlene, was ladylike in black while Emma Stone kept up her rigorous red carpet schedule. Emma and her man Andrew Garfield are starting to go public with their relationship, though he wasn't by her side for this arrivals line. In fact, most of the lovely ladies were on their own for the evening, though Drew Barrymore stuck close to her boyfriend Will Kopelman.
