Who Wore It Better? H&M Multicolored Sweater Dress

One multicolored H&M sweater dress, two completely different ways. Rihanna opted for an eccentric version, wearing it with a Louis Vuitton fanny pack, chunky combat boots, and a chain necklace. Alternately, Katy wore her sweater dress in a womanly way, with high-heeled over-the-knee boots, a double-strap belt, and metallic bag. Both ladies ooze confidence, but this is a matter of taste - do you prefer the badass or the babe?

Wow. It's not every week my faves elicit that response. The holiday party circuit seems to be revving up and it shows in star's styles. Celebrities are letting their guard down and experimenting with silhouettes, textures, frills, and fun - that's what I'm talking about. Camilla Belle exhibited all these with her futurama Alexander McQueen frock; it nearly took my breath away. Pale Casadei heels and Cartier jewels topped her off. Who Wore It Better? White, Feathery Marchesa

Camilla Belle and Katy Perry's styles couldn't be more different, but clearly the two have a shared love for white, feathery Marchesa. Camilla first wore this gorgeous piece from the Spring '10 line at an event in LA a couple weeks ago. She paired it with strappy black sandals and sparkly jewels. Then Katy sported the same fancy frock onstage at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Germany with a pair of sequined pumps. Both look like delicate swans, but who wore Marchesa better?

The Bag to Have: Yves Saint Laurent Roady

Hollywood has a new bag obsession and its name is the Yves Saint Laurent Roady (From $1,195 to $1,495). You know, the one Christy Turlington is showing off in the Fall ads.

Everyone from Kate Beckinsale to Kylie Minogue, Mary-Kate Olsen to Leighton Meester, Tilda Swinton to Rachel Bilson, and Selma Blair to Freida Pinto has already made it their arm candy. The sassy Katy Perry owns the black version with the metal chain insert detail (left). Formerly popular YSL bags like the Muse, Downtown, and Uptown have had more flair, but the Roady is classic and that means it will be a long-lasting friend.

A handful of celebrities attended the MTV Movie Awards in LA, but three ladies were obviously missing: Katy Perry, Ciara, and Fergie. The sassy songstresses all skipped the MTV festivities in the states but instead performed at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in Japan. Katy dipped herself in sushi (yum!) designed by Phillipe and David Blond, Ciara looked sexy in a sparkly bodysuit and over-the-knee boots, while Fergie rocked edgy glamour in a black cutout number and super long nails. Each performance outfit is gutsy, but which is most Fab?

Sneak Peek! H&M Fashion Against AIDS Collection

H&M is no stranger to philanthropy. Like in the past, the retailer has collaborated with major celebrities to fight AIDS. This year, the likes of Estelle (left, whose tee says Life is too short, have sex, be safe), Katy Perry, Dita von Teese, Roisin Murphy, and Cyndi Lauper have lent their drawing skills to sassy t-shirts whose 25 percent of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects.

"The designs have a real '80s feel to them. Fighting AIDS is always of great importance, and H&M is overwhelmed with the enthusiasm and the commitment from each and every celebrity involved in this collection," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M head of design. The tees hit your local H&M's DIVIDED department May 28.

Who Wore It Better? Matthew Williamson For H&M Peacock Print Dress

There were mixed results, but the majority of you loved Katy Perry in this Matthew Williamson for H&M dress. Does the dress suit heiress Nicky Hilton, too? She wore it hosting a party at Prive Las Vegas. She opted for an oversized clutch, keeping with the feather theme, while Katy wore a cheeky pink metallic lip clutch. As well, Nicky went bare legs and matchy shoes, while Katy wore tights and metallic shoes. Who wore this peacock frock best?

While I anxiously wait for the arrival of Matthew Williamson for H&M, celebrities have been teasing me by wearing the line. First, Ginnifer Goodwin snagged the artsy dress, and now Katy Perry is wearing the peacock-print one. Katy jazzed up her look with metallic peep-toe pumps, black tights, and an adorable pink metallic lips bag. I love her love for kitschy bags.
