There's something about kimono cuts that give off a Zen-like feel. Is it the wide sleeves or flattering shape? Or maybe it's the robe-inspired cut. Whatever it is, I dig it. Nicole Richie Designs New Contemporary Line!

Nicole Richie is a new mom again, but that's not stopping her from expanding her fashion empire. Along with House of Harlow 1960 and a maternity line for A Pea in the Pod, she is designing a women's contemporary line called Winter Kate (Harlow's middle names). The 37-piece collection, which was inspired by peacocks and other birds, includes tops, vests, bed jackets, and dresses - mini, long slip-style, and kimono-sleeve maxis.

"Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate," she said. Prices start at $35 and go up to $598 for leather pieces. Look out for the line in February at stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Intermix, and Kitson.

Sergio Rossi Kimono Embroidered Boots: Love It or Hate It?

Tall boots are incredibly hot, and this pair of Sergio Rossi Kimono Embroidered Boots combines two of Fall's biggest tall-boot trends: flat heels and embellished leather styles. These wild and rich boots would definitely stand out in a crowd, with their metallic bronze leather and bold fish embroidery. I particularly like the jeweled buttons that run up and down the sides, though thankfully, the boots actually zip up. But the whole goldfish motif is a little odd, so I can see how they might be a bit off-putting to some people. You can buy the boots for $1,875 here, but tell me whether you love them or hate them below!

2009 Fall Milan Fashion Week: Gucci

Where there's metallics, there's Fab. Where there's asymmetrical stripes, shots of turquoise, and bold shoulders there's Frida Giannini's Fall. Keeping the '80s trend strong, Gucci presented a dark, shimmering collection. Kimono and draped tops atop leather and sparkling leggings are party-girl perfect. Lagoon colors of turquoise, azul, and gray are appealing, while loads of black are always apropos. A couple mod suits are thrown in for tailored fun, while nary a gown in sight. But for night owls, girls do have the option of the sparkling jumpsuit or slinky belted mini dress. Polka dots, sheer blouses, and itty-bitty tailored pants add to the fun, but I must ask: Is it all too '80s? Or just right?

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2009: Adam Lippes

Adam always rocks my world. For Fall, Adam was smitten by 19th century hand tinted Japanese photographs. You could see traces of this in cherry blossom embellishments, kimono swirls, and vibrant colors. But I also saw an exotic traveler in some of his goods. Adam never shies away from a bold pink or sparkle, thus my continuous adoration of the line. Layering, tailored jackets, and silky trousers aroused; effervescent furs were divine. And there were plenty of, you guessed it, cardigans. I'll take it all.

On Our Radar: Doc Martens Make a Comeback

It's official: Doc Martens are back in style, and from the looks of things, it's only going to get bigger. The iconic '90s shoe - you know you had a pair - has resurfaced with new styles and designer collaborations. Last year, the brand was overwhelmingly successful with its kimono-print collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto. Now, the company announced a special capsule collection with Raf Simons. Even the stylish Johnny Depp reportedly ordered Doc Martens as party favors for his daughter’s birthday party earlier this year. Check out their bright Spring offerings below. Wicked. Sneak Peek! Zara Fall '08

The day Zara comes out with its Fall catalogue is the day I really look forward to updating my autumnal wardrobe. Zara has everything from trendy to classic pieces at affordable prices - the quality isn't bad either.

I already got the pleated gray pants from Spring; now all I need are cozy sweaters and coats to complete the look. Current offerings include slick-as-hell outerwear, oversize menswear suits, faux fur vests, kimono-style wrap dresses, and more. Sasha Pivarova does such a stellar job at making the clothes look high-end, she makes me want to run to Zara, like now.
