I have yet to go on a real exotic and dangerous safari in the heart of Africa - though it is on my list. However, with this Spring's offerings of safari gear I can pretend to be battling overgrown foliage and witnessing nature's beasts in their elements. Or, I can sit at my neighborhood cafe and read I Dreamed Of Africa (tearjerker btw) and look very in vogue.

The skirt isn't doing it for me...
1whole outfit is cute. love it all.
2I have to admit that I get somewhat annoyed whenever people tell me that Safari, Nautical or Military styles are "in". These three styles are ALWAYS in and will continue to be so. They have become classics. A good cargo pant, military jacket or striped boatneck top are always going to look good. Please stop calling them trends. It's like saying it's a trend to wear a little black dress.
3I only like the jacket...but it's a cute look.
4No one actually wears this stuff on safari. My husband used to live in Africa and we've done safaris...basically it would be a bif fashion faux pas to actually wear this stuff. Whenever we're in the Atlanta airport, we like to go to the terminal where the flights to South Africa leave and laugh at the people wearing safari gear...to land in Johannesburg!! (A modern city with millions of people and no lions in sight, except at the zoo).
