Larsen Gray Shark Bite Skirt: Love It or Hate It?

I immediately became enthralled by this Larsen Gray Shark Bite Skirt ($239) when I discovered it. Forget cutouts, this skirt features shark bites! My only concern is, will my bum show through the cracks? Also, it's not exactly cheap. What do you think? Is it worth getting?

Dress Me Up: Gold & Gray

Gold & gray go together like peanut butter and jelly. Meaning, they're fine alone, but when combined, they produce even richer flavors. Gray calms down gold, while gold pumps up gray's volume a notch or two. The result is part vivid, part mellow.

When I close my eyes, I envision this Mason by Michelle Mason Metallic Gold Corset ($83, originally $275) paired over a fitted heather gray long-sleeve tee. The bottom layer would tame the corset and make it more everyday wearable. Yummy - try it sometime.

On the bottom, she went sexy in Larsen Gray's black band skirt and nude sandals. Most stars stay away from wearing denim on the red carpet, but I'm glad Mandy attempted it . . . and got it right.

Open a college savings account

"A lot of people will say, 'it's only $100,'" says Larsen, but if you were to save $100 a month over 20 years at a 7% rate of return, you would amass $52,092.67. Impressive, right?

Depending on your financial picture, you'll need to shop around to find the right plan based on investment performances, expenses, and tax exemptions.

Andrew Schrage, founder of the personal finance site, Money Crashers, recommends looking into a 529 College Savings plan set up by governments or colleges to help parents save.

"One of the primary benefits of a 529 savings plan is that it offers tax protection from the federal government," he says. "Also, you may be eligible for tax protection from the state government."
