Last night's episode of The Hills went a little something like this: Heidi's sister Holly had lunch with Lauren (gasp), Audrina's relationship with Lauren got better, her relationship with Justin worsened, and dare I say it, Lauren admitted she misses Heidi. But despite Holly's hopes to rekindle Lauren and Heidi's friendship, Lauren made it clear that's not going to happen. Never say never. As always, there was plenty of emotions and power ballads to keep us hooked, but I hope in the midst of it, you paid attention to the clothes. Let's find out.

It never feels good when someone tells you: We're better off as friends. Even though Lauren decided to end things with Doug on The Hills, he's the one who said those words to her. Obviously trying to play it cool. Speaking of cool, while things cooled down for Lauren, they heated up for Whitney and male model Alex. But how tricky of Kelly to slyly set them up on a date. While we didn't see Audrina and Lo on last night's episode, we did see plenty of Stephanie. Brody's not too keen on her but only time will tell if his instincts are right. The Hills is back and it's juicier than ever! I hope you didn't miss last night's season premiere episode because it was fashion filled and drama packed. This fresh season brings with it new boys, old romances, and everything in between. Thus far, our girl Lauren went on a date with an old flame, Doug; the quibbling continued for Heider and Spenci; and the tensions deepened between roommates Audrina and Lo. Ouch. But let's ditch the drama and focus on the fashion. Were you paying attention?

Trend Alert: Bubble Trouble

Just when I thought someone magically popped the fashion bubble, we are back in bubble trouble. Designers and celebrities alike can't get enough of bubble hems. To be truthful, this is a look only a slim gal should attempt and heels lessen any negative bubbling of the body. Emma Roberts wore a dark and tailored Sass & Bide bubble dress, The Hills' Lo donned a colorful Ina Soltani bub, and Elizabeth Bank's Moschino bubbler was gray and subdued. I prefer the bubbles that have a tailored approach, at least it's a reinvention of the trend. Does anyone else wish this '80s trend would bubble over already?

Battle of The Hills Costumes: Flirty Flapper vs. Little Red Riding Hood

The Halloween fun does not stop for me when the Fab holiday is over. Au contraire. Last year we had Lauren and then-BF Audrina battle out their costumes. This year it's all about the ladies in red. This is a fine example of two friends coordinating costumes, but doing completely different ideas. Lauren perfectly embodies a flapper, but her color choices aren't typical. Nice. She lightened things up with a white fringed dress, gold metallic sandals, and a dramatic feather hairpiece. Lo looks super cute too, in a classic red cape and dress, though her shoes could have been more festive. However, her props take Little Red Riding Hood to the next level. Which costumed Hills blonde gets your vote?

Just when I thought the drama on The Hills couldn't get any more, well, dramatic, it did. Last night was crazy. Audrina accused Lauren and Justin of hooking up - gasp! Feeling extremely insecure in her relationship, I can see how she would entertain the idea at first. But when your close friend is repeatedly telling you she didn't do it, take her word for it and drop it. Heidi and Holly continued to quarrel, and Holly blamed Spencer for everything. Insanity all over, but I hope you were able to pay attention to the clothes.
