I live in my wooly jackets in the Winter, but they're not the most exciting crop of coats. If you feel me, try one with leather trimmings. This slick embellishment adds a dose of refinement to outerwear without losing warmth.

Womenswear Designer of The Year, Oscar de la Renta is a true genius when it comes to designing utterly beautiful and unique gowns for luxurious women. This Oscar de la Renta Leather-Trim Dress, $3,990, is an example of one of his fashion-forward creations. Price aside, I love everything about it, especially the leather patches, square neckline and ruffle hem.

A self-proclaimed mermaid, I drowned in Proenza Schouler's aquatic chic Spring collection. It wasn't evident right away — leather and bondage shirt dresses and jackets opened. And then, like a flurry of fish, tiered and ruffled frocks in teals, turquoise, and acid green stole the scene.

Patent leather has officially become one of the latest fashion feeding frenzies. What's fabulous about this material is it is very resistant, timeless and sexy - what more could you ask for? As well, patent is no longer reserved for dressing up or accessories only; the new versions of it can be worn day or night, work or play, yay!

With the unfortunate passing of one of fashion's greatest inspirations, Yves Saint Laurent, I thought it would be fitting to take you through the fashion metamorphosis of Yves himself, his revolutionary brand, and its many successors. What many people don't know is that YSL officially started in the fashion business when Christian Dior died in October of 1957. At the age of 21, Yves was thrust into the spotlight, and more importantly, into the role of head designer of the house of Dior.

At the opening of Harrods' Winter Sale, Eva chose a Dolce & Gabbana Denim Mini Dress. The patent leather trim is very interesting and adds some substance to an otherwise-drab denim frock. It's unlike any other denim dress I've seen out there.
