Emanuel Ungaro Calls Lindsay's Collab a Disaster

You weren't the only one hating Lindsay Lohan and Estrella Arch's heart pasties: Emanuel Ungaro despised them, too. The designer, who parted ways with his namesake label back in 2005, has kept mum about the collaboration - until now. In a recent press conference, Ungaro stated, "Lindsay Lohan's collaboration was a disaster. I am furious but I can't do anything about it."

Ungaro continues, stating that the Paris fashion house "is in the process of losing its soul. That happens to a lot of designers. We were the creators and patrons, responsible for the creation and destiny of our houses. But when we gave up our houses, we gave up our souls," said the designer. Sad.

The votes are in and Lindsay Lohan has chosen the 6126/FabSugar Leggings Contest winner. Out of over 200 entries, Lindsay narrowed it down to one dreamy sketch. Congratulations to Cali girl Candice Aman! In addition to receiving $1,000, her design will be added to Lindsay's Spring 6126 collection. When asked about her design inspiration, Candice said, "I was inspired by a type of tracksuit bottoms that I had when I was younger. They unbutton all the way up along the sides and I thought that a leggings design utilizing this idea would be interesting. I also wanted to incorporate hardware in the design so I made buttons! High Fashion Ungaro Heart Pasties: Love It or Hate It?

Lindsay Lohan debuted her first advised collection for Emanuel Ungaro over the weekend. It's not half bad, though I still yearn for Esteban Cortezar's vivid prints and sassy draping. What I can see as a Lohan touch is this bedazzled heart pastie one of the models wore. It's done in an admittedly demure fashion, a little less blatant than Rihanna's Fourth of July star pastie. It helps that the white embroidered jacket is pretty gorgeous. But is it still totally tacky?

Lindsay Lohan Takes the Reins at Ungaro

Wow, the rumors were true. Promptly following Esteban Cortazar's exit from Ungaro, the fashion house has tapped Lindsay Lohan as its artistic adviser, alongside new chief designer Estrella Archs. Apparently, Ungaro's chief executive, Mounir Moufarrige, was looking to add excitement to the brand, and no doubt hiring Lindsay has definitely caught everyone's attention. "Odds are it could work," said Moufarrige. “I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big." Lohan and Archs are set to debut their first collection for Ungaro at Paris Fashion Week in October. Thoughts?

Do You Like the Heavy Celeb Presence on Project Runway?

It was to be expected that when Project Runway moved to Los Angeles, the show would feature more celebrities. Heidi Klum once said that Hollywood has had a major influence on the world of fashion. We're three episodes in, and there have been three celebrity guest judges: Lindsay Lohan served as guest judge on the first episode, Rebecca Romijn was the subject of the episode two's maternity challenge, and last night, Rachel Bilson gave her two cents on the surf-wear challenge. PR has had celebrity guest judges in the past, but now it's become a regular component of the show. So I want to know, do you like the heavy celeb presence on PR?

And she has such a healthy physique, she looks great in everything. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen graced us with their presence, looking every ounce of cool. Did Project Runway Thrill You Last Night?

I'll be honest, I was nervous about Project Runway's new home, Lifetime, and new location, Los Angeles. But after watching last night, I'm hooked again. The first challenge was to create a red-carpet gown - fitting seeing as how they're in Hollywood. Lindsay Lohan served as guest judge, along with constants Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Michael Kors. As for the designers, as usual, some are exceptional, some are so not, and the rest are in between. So far, Ra'mon, Johnny, and Christopher have shown promise, the latter taking the crown last night. Did you tune in? What did you think?
