Kate Moss and Jamie Hince Wrap Up London Fashion Week With a Kiss

Kate Moss and her husband Jamie Hince made one last appearance at London Fashion Week last night. They turned out for the show from their pal James Small, who designs menswear. Kate and Jamie have attended James's past two presentations as well. They were in the front row with Jamie's The Kills bandmate Alison Mosshart, as well as Jo Wood, at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout's Freemason's Hall venue. There was a special cameo from UK rapper Fazer on the catwalk, with both Kate and Jamie cheering him on enthusiastically. It's rumored that Kate Moss offered Fazer advice on starting his own fashion line. Kate and Jamie went backstage to pose for photos and share a few kisses before retiring to James Small's afterparty at the Corinthia Hotel.

LFW Dispatch: Highlights From the London Runways

Our FabSugar UK editor Jamie hit up the top shows at London Fashion Week, getting backstage access and sending us her firsthand account from the runways. Here is a roundup of her favorite highlights from the shows:

Antonio Berardi: The gorgeous shoes were by Manolo Blahnik, but the models kept slipping on the marble floor! I sat next to the fashion editor for Harvey Nichols, and we couldn't stop staring in fear at the heels! Read all about my experience at the show.

Erdem: I almost bumped into Anna Wintour because I was bent over tying my shoe - ha! The show was beautiful, but listen to the description I got: "Eccentric collectors of the '50s and '60s provide the inspiration for Erdem's latest collection - the bold and incomparable style of fearless dressers such as arts patron Betty Freeman and Marcia Weisman who, along with her husband Fred, was captured by David Hockney in California Collectors." It was all about conservative pieces with a kinky twist.

Burberry: Poppy Delevigne was in the front row smiling proudly and taking pictures of her little sister Cara, who not only walked the runway but also stars in the current Burberry campaign. Talk about putting on a show: Burberry used a rain machine to create rain outside the clear tent, while inside models walked out using umbrellas while confetti shot out from the ceiling. I took some quick notes for you to read.

McQ: Salma Hayek sat in the front row with her husband and Anna Wintour. The space was super dark and dramatic, and the floor was covered in wood chips. For the finale, the model wore all white, and she walked down the runway under falling leaves. Halfway through she stopped, dug into a pile of wood chips, and pulled out a rope, which led her into this makeshift forest. Pretty dramatic, no?

Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2012

Cold shoulders? Roksanda Ilincic's answer is a Fall 2012 collection of sheath dresses, tailored trousers, and slouchy sweatshirts all topped with fur trim. It's the modern girl's cold-weather wardrobe - complete with the most sophisticated play on buffalo plaid (yes, sophisticated plaid) we've ever seen embellished onto deep burgundy dresses and bold bright blue pencil skirts. Silhouettes too speak to that modern proportion - slouchier tops and slim-cut skirts. Nothing is too literal; while sporty references abound with hooded sweatshirts, relaxed trousers, or full jumpsuits, Roksanda counters with luxe fur trim on the same laid-back toppers. She always remembers her clientele with the feminine allure they crave. To that note, there are the classic ladylike silhouettes - sheaths finished with a flutter of ruffles at the hem or a sharp little dress with just the right draping. It's not hard to imagine Roksanda's fans like Kate Middleton or Michelle Obama slipping into any of the designer's perfectly crafted dresses.

Trends: Full skirts, buffalo plaid, brights, fur trim, sporty dressing, menswear.
Colors: Black, red, bright blue, yellow, purple, gray, and white.
Key Piece: We love the embellished take on buffalo plaid, especially the deep red and black sheath.
Accessories: Yellow ankle-strap pumps, slouchy bucket bags.
Who Would Wear It: Polished feminine types who crave sophisticated cuts and statement color; fans like Michelle Obama and Keira Knightley.

Burberry Goes Dark For Fall 2012

McQ by Alexander McQueen Serves Up Bagel-Shaped Locks in London

If there was one word to describe McQ by Alexander McQueen's London show, it would be dramatic. Models, decked out in military-inspired ensembles, walked a darkly lit runway full of fantastical touches, including a hidden rope at the finale that led to a fairy-tale cottage. And if that wasn't enough, the hair was just as surreal, with models donning tightly pulled, bagel-shaped buns atop their heads. Will the trend catch on? Donut (sorry) count on it. But after such an impressive first showing for the diffusion line, we can hardly wait to see what the house of McQueen will offer in upcoming seasons.

Mary Katrantzou Fall 2012

Mary Katrantzou didn't shy away from her signature look; in fact, she turned up the dial on the bold prints she's become known for - the same ones she's crafted for her own Topshop collaboration. Her Fall '12 collection had no shortage of neoprene color, nor full-bodied patterns crafted in the most sculptural of silhouettes and body-conscious forms. Katrantzou revealed to The New York Times that her way with print is not without purpose: "With print, it is about educating the customer to try it on and see what it does with the silhouette . . . trying to do with print what a black dress would do onto their body. And it works!" If you see the line through her eyes you begin to understand her body-conscious strategy. It's not just about the whimsy of the print; every detail of design works together to highlight the shape of a woman. You see that in color choice, in silhouette, and in the widening or narrowing of her patterns - how it may open up in a cheeky timepiece at the waist, but taper in a tighter pattern at the hip; you can't discount even the smallest details when taking in the collection. But the whole is greater than the sum of its parts - Mary is a master of illusion with a talent for print-making that makes this collection not just playful, but oh so smart.

Trends: Brights, print mixing, texture, bold shoulders, structural silhouettes, ruffles, a-line skirts, tulip skirts.
Colors: Black, scarlet red, brilliant yellow, blue, green, fuchsia, nude, moss green.
