It may be poking fun at the fact that exorbitantly expensive It bags are over, but this Longchamp "It Bag" Vertical Tote ($340) has stolen my heart. Could it be because it has French writing on it? Maybe. But mostly it's because it talks cheeky and looks chic without costing a fortune. Plus, it's canvas, thus super relevant to the times. I could see this bag meshing at the supermarket as well as at trendy soirees.

Fab Ad: Longchamp Spring '09

To no one's surprise, Longchamp stuck with Kate Moss to spearhead its Spring '09 ad campaign. To mix things up, the brand enlisted Sasha Pivovarova to help Moss show off its growing sportswear collection and of course, its decadent handbags. The campaign, shot in LA by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, features Kate and Sasha against a stark green backdrop. The sharp contrast complements the two in Longchamp's striking clothing selection. Per usual, the handbags look sizzlingly supple. I like how Kate and Sasha are styled in similar hairstyles and makeup. They both look amazing! Do you concur?

Celebrity Style: Birthday Girl, Diane Kruger!

Join me in wishing Fab favorite Diane Kruger a happy birthday today. May her year be filled with lots of happiness, love, health . . . and fashion! The actress attended Longchamp's 60th anniversary celebration in an ensemble that only risk-taking girls like her can pull off. While other guests wore dresses, Diane showed up in high-waisted Grey Ant trousers, a gray crop top, and her favorite fedora. She tapped the look off with a salmon-colored Longchamp clutch and a thin white watch. As always, Fab-u-lous.

Ashley Olsen has been toting around her Fendi crocodile bag for months now - it's obviously a fave. But really, it perfectly suits her fierce and luxe style. While I know not everyone will perk up at the idea of wearing a crocodile skin on their arm, it is a proven luxury item in today's world of fashion. For those who do like the structured, upscale material, faux versions abound. So what's it going to be: a $12,000 crocodile handbag? A $400 one? Or are you saying to yourself: What a croc?!

I am not in lust with this Longchamp Légende, $980, merely because Kate Moss is carrying it in the brand's Fall/Winter ads. I swear! This is a doctor bag perfected. I especially love the patent leather, the double pockets and the svelte handles. The best part comes when you open the purse: it has red lining that is a sassy surprise!

Although you may think it's too big, I beg to differ. It can double as a weekend bag and an everyday purse. I would lug it to the office with all my important papers, magazines, and Blackberry; and then I would pack all my favorite looks and take it for a fun weekend ride! See? I don't need Kate to influence me to take this shiny stunner home with me because I can convince myself! That, is true love.

Trend Alert: Zippy Handbags

Zippy handbags are a little polished, and a lot purposeful. Really: can a big have too many zippers? Ok, I guess one can but I find not enough bags have nice looking zippers, to trap all our girlie glosses and gadgets. These new bags manage to look both sporty and sophisticated.
