Most of my Fall shopping is complete, but Madewell has convinced me there's always room for a little more. Its look book is filled with cozy cool options offering up rail-straight cords - my favorite is this soft blush hue - sweet sweaters, polished coats, and awesome boots. This heather oatmeal funnel scarf will surely come in handy for chilly mornings and I know I'd wear this green parka to death. Somehow, Madewell always manages to make the simplest things look so cool. Color me inspired.

Fall is all about bundling up, but after experiencing The Lake & Stars Fall look book, I would rather strip down. It's romantic and brooding, innocent and old-fashioned, rolled into one. I am especially smitten with the coquettish triangle bras, and though they don't provide much support, they're lovely for a night in. I wonder if I can wear one over a tee during the day. Sheer, lace, peach, satin . . . whoever wears plain underthings because no one sees them ought to reconsider. Shopbop currently has a few The Lake & Stars pieces on sale, so take a dip.

This collection of modern feminine pieces is composed of structured leather jackets, soft silk frocks, printed tops with hard edge embellishments, and streamlined skirts. Their feminine touches are just right, not overly so - exactly how I like it. It's still warm here in SF, but once the clouds roll in, I'll be living in this understated leather dress. So cool. Urban Outfitters is the gift that keeps on giving. First it brought us its snazzy early Fall look book and now is delivering even fresher merchandise for Fall '09. Shall we dive in? This bunch is filled with girlie florals, cropped jackets, studded booties, understated bags, flannel, ripped jeans, and so much more. One of my favorite looks is this print dress with a vest and black hat. It's part folk, part boho, part rock 'n' roll. This colorblock backpack is pretty rad, too.

Madison Marcus's Fall '09 collection has me crushin' like the ninth grade – you know what I mean. For the cold months ahead, the brand is keeping us warm with a supply of tweed skirts, shimmering cardigans, tailored pants, silk tops, and vintage-inspired frocks. I'm smitten with the '20s influence via intricate beading details and floaty shapes, but notice how the line evokes youthfulness through a fun, jewel-toned palette. Sometimes, you don't need to be bold to be noticed and Madison Marcus proves this perfectly. I can already see myself wearing this unique camel cowl-neck top with black skinnies and booties during a chilly Autumn day.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm a Zara girl. As of late, I can't get enough of its sophisticated and fairly affordable options. In fact, the Spanish retailer just announced it will start selling its collection online in the UK and other European countries - lucky! Sigh, for now, let's lust after its September '09 look book. Everything we need for Fall was on display: cozy sweaters, tailored military coats, faux fur, lace, lush leopard prints, and a to-die-for collection of boots. Zara's eye for detail leaves me swooning for every piece - this sleek wool cape is at the top of my list. What's on yours?

Razzle dazzle is hot, especially when we want to stand out. But don't we all have those days when we'd just rather go incognito? For those times, turn to Element's Fall '09 look book; it's filled with under-the-radar pieces that are cool but not flashy. Army jackets, asymmetrical cardigans, crochet sweaters, plaid dresses, denim vests, and slim jeans are some of the items du jour. Personally, one of my favorite looks is the one on the left. It has just enough layers and I dig the mix of soft and rough.

Not too long ago I purchased a tiny gold dagger necklace and a shell crescent necklace from Pretty Little Thing NYC. I was instantly drawn to its variety - current collections range from mercury rising to golden days to hot child in the city to she's a rainbow. Each collection is reasonably priced, and has its quirk, its charm. And look, Alexa Chung has also fallen for PLT's jewels; she recently wore its lucky elephant necklace to the I Heart Ronson's party in NYC. Along with hers, I love nine other PLT stunners. I first fell for Joie's bohemian hip clothes a couple years back when I scored an amazing leather jacket from the brand on eBay. It had amazing tough details, yet was still girlie. For Fall, Joie takes the same route, supplying us with printed smock tops, cozy oversize sweaters, and soft tiers; the muted colors are effortless and understated. Did you know Joie means joy in French? Makes sense since I feel nothing but calm elation when I look at this collection.

After checking out its yummy resort presentation in NYC, I've been smitten with all things Zimmermann. Yes, the live show was amazing, but there's something about this look book that pulls me in even deeper. The dank, gritty lighting and hotel backdrop reminds me of humid Summer nights in Costa Rica and the swimwear is beyond amazing.
