I'm sure everyone can do with a little more cash in their wallets. Here are some great suggestions by Wise Bread for you to make extra money.

Even though I'm self-employed full-time, I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to make more money.

Earlier this year, I wrote a Wise Bread post on websites that can help you earn extra cash. More recently, I came across a blog post on Zaarly titled, "10 Ways to Make Money Without a Job." After reviewing the latter post, I thought it was time to revisit the topic and let you in on a few more ways to get paid.

The ideas that Zaarly presents are perfect for the unemployed or those who just want to pad their pockets a little more. In addition, there are moonlighting jobs that I do that I thought you should know about. Thus, if you're without a steady paycheck or you just want to build up a rainy-day stash, here are some of your options.

1. Offer Experiences to Strangers

I recently learned about a new site called Vayable, which allows people with specialized knowledge and talents, local info, and time on their hands to create experiences that others can purchase. It's basically a touring and activity company without the company. Anyone can join the site and set up an experience. For instance, the Kan Brothers offer motorcycle tours of San Francisco - which include helmet rental, a drink at a local hot spot, and a city map - for two to four people at $75 per person. In New York City, Kim G. is offering a personalized painting lesson for groups of two to six for a flat rate of $300; the experience includes acrylic paints; canvas board and supplies; studio space; wine, cheese, and crackers; and Kim’s undivided attention. Anja Rubik definitely made a hot impression at the Met Gala tonight - the model stunned in a supersexy white Anthony Vaccarello gown, and got a proverbial "leg up" on Angelina Jolie's Oscars look with her sultry red carpet poses while walking with the designer. Anja didn't wear much jewelry, save for chandelier earrings and a slinky pair of black chain-strap pumps. Washington DC got a big dose of Hollywood glamour as stars stepped out for the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday. The annual event, which is being hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, kicked off with multiple preparties Friday night, and celebs were back on the red carpet for this evening's main event. Dakota Fanning got dramatic in a long-sleeve Prada gown, while Malin Akerman went with a sexy white look. Claire Danes wowed in a white Vivienne Westwood and Eva Longoria, who just wrapped the final season of Desperate Housewives, went short.

Elizabeth Banks brought a pop of color in a strapless red dress, and Kerry Washington followed suit in a melon-hued Calvin Klein. The bright looks kept coming with Alicia Keys, on the arm of husband Swizz Beatz in gold, and Kate Hudson in a sparkly purple Jenny Packham and an Edie Parker clutch. Kim Kardashian, who spent the morning in NYC with new boyfriend Kanye West, stepped out in emerald while her mom, Kris Jenner, wore crimson.

Reese Witherspoon covered her baby bump in a black Monique Lhuillier gown after landing on the East Coast with husband Jim Toth Friday night. Sofia Vergara, who was also on hand for Friday's Hollywood Reporter bash, went short and accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Lindsay Lohan made an appearance in a low-cut look after missing her first flight to the East Coast, and Charlize Theron got sexy in a lace Emilio Pucci gown.

Choosing a Ring: Diamond's Cheaper, Identical Twin

Do a diamond's origins matter that much? We have come to a point in which scientists can create diamonds in the lab that are virtually indistinguishable from mined diamonds. If you're contemplating buying this lab-grown gem during your engagement ring hunt, here are a few things you should know:

It's not cubic zirconia. Everyone's familiar with cubic zirconia, which is known to imitate the look of a diamond but does not have the chemical makeup of one. Gems that mimic the look of diamonds are classified as a diamond simulant. Others that go under the simulant category include moissanite, quartz, and glass.

You won't be able to tell the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a mined diamond. If you go to the legitimate sources, you'll find that their gems are essentially the same as mined diamonds. The gems have the same physical and chemical properties as mined diamonds. The proper names for these diamonds are laboratory-created, lab-grown, or man-made diamonds.

It's cheaper. Although the price varies on different diamonds depending on the shape, cut, carat, clarity, and color, president and CEO Stephen Lux of Gemesis Diamond Company, a producer of lab-created diamonds, tells SavvySugar that "generally speaking, Gemesis lab-created diamonds retail for approximately 20 to 30 percent less than mined diamonds." Lux gave sample prices of what you can expect to see at Gemesis - a 0.50 carat can range from $500 to $2,500 while a 1.00 carat can go from $2,000 to $8,000.

The drawbacks. The main drawback seems to be the limits to the size of the diamonds, perhaps due to the technology and equipment of the producer. Gemesis sells colorless diamonds in sizes ranging from 0.50 to 1.50 carats, but they do have bigger sizes for colored diamonds. Another negative is the unromantic notion that the gem is created in a few days vs. taking millions of years to form.

Where to buy. Currently, the leader in the lab-grown diamond industry seems to be Gemesis. You can order diamond jewelry on its website, or you can also opt to order loose stones.

Somewhere along the way talk turned from his new capsule collection to '90s fashion, favorite NYC spots, and where you might find Zac if he wasn't designing. Zac on the return of '90s fashion and his own '90s look: "There are a lot of designers who come to New York in search of a Patti Smith/Lou Reed moment in their life. For me it's so funny when I see designers romanticizing the '90s because it really never looked that cool, and now it's back in a big way. What I do think is relevant stylistically from the '90s is youth and social consciousness and now that's social media, which we didn't have then - that unity of voices. It's fun to have seen that and witnessed that and I definitely had my crazy '90s outfits. [When] I grew up my idea of designer clothing, or what was maybe accessible to me to purchase on a birthday, was Century 21. The best pieces from Gaultier at the time, amazing pieces of Jean Colonna, amazing early Tom Ford, amazing early McQueen pieces, and great Vivienne Westwood clothing. 7 Basic Things to Keep in Mind When Buying Engagement Bling

The engagement ring may be one of the biggest expenses of your wedding, and as with buying any big-ticket item, you need to do your homework. We tapped Jerry Ehrenwald, the president of the International Gemological Institute, for some quick guidelines on what couples need to do when they're buying an engagement ring.

Learn about the four Cs. "Before purchasing a diamond, learn all about the four Cs - the color of the diamond, the clarity of the diamond, the quality of the cut of the diamond, and the carat weight of the diamond."
Check out reputable stores. "Shop at reputable jewelry sources. Make purchases from a jeweler who has been in business for a number of years. If you are not familiar with the jeweler or online site, check their reputation and rating with the Better Business Bureau before you buy."
Buy a certified diamond. "Certified means that a diamond rating report has been issued by an independent, unbiased gemological institute. This way, the consumer has the opportunity to compare one diamond’s quality to that of another, with regard to the value and quality of the diamond they’re looking at."
Grading report. "Purchase diamond jewelry accompanied by a grading report. The grading report provides an unbiased assessment of a jewel’s four Cs. It informs you if a stone is synthetic - in other words, man-made or laboratory grown - or has undergone any treatments, which may dramatically affect the value. Be sure an accredited gemological institute, such as IGI, has graded the diamond jewelry to the one internationally accepted system for diamond grading."
