Which Maggie Gyllenhaal Dark Knight Look is Most Fab?

Maggie Gyllenhaal has a dark side. Her premiere looks for the action flick The Dark Knight not only complimented her, but they complimented the film. Maggie usually chooses dresses of the darker persuasion for her red carpet appearances - one of my favorites being her Proenza Schouler 2007 Oscar gown - but they work so well with her fantastic skin and retro look. She's conquered her recent movie-related appearances in favorite designers like Dries Van Noten, Lanvin, Stella McCartney, and Zac Posen. All dark, all fabulous, in my opinion. What about yours?

This Week's Fab Favorite: Maggie Gyllenhaal

Go Maggie. This week's Fab favorite was decided earlier in the week when I saw this beauty in this Dries Van Noten beauty at The Dark Knight premiere. And yes, I've already seen the movie and it is a-mazing. Maggie and Dries are a great match. They are both unconventional and beautiful in their unique way, oh, and wonderfully experimental. Like Maggie just claimed, she cares what the media thinks about the way she dresses, and I only have praise. If you're listening Maggie: well done!

The simple, draped silhouette of this black strapless dress is set off by the asymmetrical fiery floral print. I can't help but admire her in front of the blazing The Dark Knight poster; it's too good. She pulled her hair up and wore her signature red lips. Her gold jewelry is not to be forgotten; modern and funky. I strained my eyes to get a better look at her shoes as they're not plain, they appear to be Dries, too.

Fab Blab: Maggie Gyllenhaal Cares What the Media Thinks

Judging from Maggie Gyllenhaal's nonconformist sense of style, you wouldn't think she cares about what other people, including the tabloids, say about her fashion choices. But she's only human, and in August's Marie Claire (on set, left), she confesses her feelings about finding herself on "worst dressed" lists.

"Sometimes it freaks me out. I've been so hurt and felt so bad." Luckily, the actress is learning to move on with her life, saying "People will always say mean things about you if you put yourself out there."

Ain't that the truth. If you don't take risks, you'll never get ahead, and that goes for fashion as well. We love you and your wardrobe choices, Maggie, and we hope you continue to spice up the red carpet.

Fab Ad: Maggie Gyllenhaal for Agent Provocateur

I have to admit that when I first heard that actress Maggie Gyllenhaal was going to replace Kate Moss as the face of Agent Provocateur, I was less than thrilled. I just couldn't get the image of Maggie with her little daughter Ramona out of my head long enough to replace it with her as a saucy lingerie model. But now that the ads have been released, I am pleasantly surprised. I suppose deep down I knew Maggie had what it took because of her sassy role in the Secretary. By looking at these sexy ads, you'd never guess Maggie is a mom who loves to lay low in jeans and flats. I guess that's a good thing! What do you think?

Fab Flash: Maggie Gyllenhaal to be an Agent Provocateur!

It appears that the rumors about Daisy Lowe being Agent Provocateur's new girl were false. WWD revealed today that Maggie Gyllenhaal has been chosen instead! Maggie will appear in the first episode of the AP online campaign beginning September 1, with three more episodes to follow.

A bit of a surprising choice, but then I think of her in the S&M flick Secretary, and I know Miss Maggie can handle her share of lingerie just fine.
