I've got a serious soft spot for beautiful people - ahem, Julia Stegner, Malgosia and Javier de Miguel - lounging around in gorgeous clothes surrounded by moody shadows. Remember Valentino's Robert Palmer-esque Fall ads? Loved 'em. With a new design team on tap, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi of 6267, I expect we'll be seeing more fabulousness from this Italian fashion house. Don't you wish you could just lounge around with these folks? All the limbs, flowing hair, dark clothes and strong accessories are super seductive. The images were supposed to convey a '40s scenario, but I see something set more in the power-fueled '80s. Do you want to join this lounge party?

Fab Ad: H&M, Holiday '09

Check out Sasha Pivovarova, Missy Rayder, and Malgosia Bela in their holiday best . . . H&M holiday best to be precise. The retailer's latest ads share the best of both worlds: jolly and sexy. These noir getups, especially Missy's, are stunning, but I also love the cozy knits. And isn't that what the holidays are all about - going from comfy, festive loungewear to all-out-fabulous, then back to those cozy pajamas? I can't wait! What do you think of these latest?

You've Come a Long Way, Chloé!

I recently talked to you about the fashion metamorphosis of Chloé, more specifically its changing head designers. Now it's my pleasure to showcase the house's ad campaign transformation from 2003 until now. Over time, Chloé has delivered murky yet polished campaigns, with top models in decidedly serious dispositions.

In Fall of 2003, Angela Lindvall channeled a hot hippie chick. Fall 2004 (left) had Caroline Winberg and Dewi Driegen expressing anger in contrastingly feminine duds.

A long-haired Anja Rubik and Julia Stegner leaned on one another to bring the Spring 2006 shots to life. In Fall 2006, Carmen Kass and Malgosia Bela hit the desert and made turbans look desirable. For the latest Spring 2008 campaign - which is the least exciting - Ali Stephens posed beachside in Paulo Melim Andersson's colorblock, airy clothes. Which year is your favorite?

Fab Ad: Rock & Republic Fall '08

Rock & Republic stuck to what it knew best for its Fall Campaign - rock. That said Malgosia Bela and Vladimir Roitfeld look pretty bored for portraying rock stars. The photo shoot, shot by Mark Segal and directed by Julia Roitfeld, depicts the two in their R&R gear amongst a slew of amplifiers and wires. The set looks stark and overly clean; musicians don't live like that!

Julia should of added a little dirt and grime to make the scene more realistic. On the plus side, the clothes are great and Malgosia looks rocker ready in her boots and fur. What do you think?
