NYMag.com just launched this great new section called Shop-A-Matic, which basically catalogs products available in brick-and-mortar New York City shops. You can search through everything in Shop-A-Matic by price, color, material, and style, so it's perfect for seeking something unique and different that you would only find in a Manhattan boutique. It's also perfect for window-shopping, and a great inspiration source!

Right now Shop-A-Matic only features home-related items, but starting in September, they are planning to add fashion and accessories. Next month can't come soon enough!

Fab Flash: Nordstrom Eyeing the Big Apple

Macy's, Barneys, and Bergdorf beware! Nordstrom is adding Manhattan to its location hit list, according to the company's president Pete Nordstrom.

Potential sites for the flagship store include the Penn Station area by West 34th Street, Madison Avenue in the Fifties, lower Manhattan and the Columbus Circle vicinity. Prepare yourself, New Yorkers, for fabulous fashion and excellent customers service all in one spot!

FabSugar Exclusive: Alexis Bittar Is Gossip Girl's Favorite Accessory Designer

We caught up with Alexis Bittar at his Neiman Marcus trunk show recently. He's super dreamy, as you can tell from his photo (center). And so friendly, it was comfortable, like we'd met before. Read what he had to say about his biggest fans - Fab fave Cameron Diaz and the Gossip Girl stylists - as well as how he got his start.

What sparked your interest in jewelry?

I sold antique jewelry on the street [at the 26th Street flea market in Manhattan] for 15 years. I started working with Lucite, I just pounded it, started carving it. I actually don’t know how I put it all together in my brain, but I liked that you could sculpt it. It’s pretty cheap - in the beginning I had no money. It seemed like an experimental medium. And I like working with mediums that aren’t typical. When I first saw it, I loved it and I still love it. Guys like it, too; they’re into the science of it, they’re trying to figure it out. It took a long time - the beginning was a bit difficult, then certain key people used it, and it slowly took off. When the millennium happened there was thing of perceiving everything differently and it became the new.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Launch Olsenboye For JCPenney

On to the next. The rumors are true: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are launching a juniors line for JCPenney. Olsenboye makes total sense: the sisters began their retailer endeavors in the junior market - it's not to be forgotten.

The line will debut in 600 stores in February, but an innovative marketing campaign will kick off today for three days via an Olsenboye “treat truck” cruising around NYC selling clothes and giving out cupcakes, balloons and pins. The Olsen’s will be making a surprise appearance on one of the three days. As well, empty racks in 50 high-profile stores will be covered in Olsenboye samplings. Come Nov. 6, Olsenboye will be sold on jcp.com and in those 50 stores, including the Manhattan flagship, for a limited time. Updates and a teaser video can be viewed on Olsenboye.com.

The retail prices will range $20 to $50 for casual sportswear and accessories that includes denim, bottoms, tops, dresses, skirts, shorts, jackets, handbags and shoes. Super cool: it will dabble in travel-inspired mini collections, each reflecting the looks and trends of different cities.

What does Ashley say about the news: “Mary-Kate and I watch current trends and see our partnership with JCPenney as an opportunity to add something unique to the marketplace, especially in the current retail climate. Olsenboye is an extension of the Dualstar brand and we feel this collaboration complements and strengthens our business portfolio, delivering trend-based fashion at affordable prices.”

Target Strikes NYC

You're probably wondering: Fab has been in New York for a week now, and has she done any shopping? Not really, but today was the day, because I dropped by one of the four limited-time-only Target Bullseye Bodegas in Manhattan. And you know I can't resist Target. For Fashion Weekers and Manhattan folk, these mini stores showcase all the newest designer collaborations and the most popular Target brands. So cool, right? But the most exciting was first dibs on the Sigerson Morrison for Target shoes, the Anya Hindmarch bags (not in stores and online until Oct. 12), and Jonathan Saunders's Go International collection (available Oct. 5). They also had Sonia Kashuk's latest and the best of their home lines. It was crazy, with loud music and bright red and yellow Target displays everywhere, but they did serve refreshing watermelon juice drinks.The goods: I bought a black and white polka dot mini skirt from Jonathan Saunders's collection, and these metallic blue studded Sigerson Morrison flats - $50 for both, not bad. I think I'll wear one of my new items to the shows tomorrow, hot off the racks.

Celebrity Style: Kate Mara

I'm not the only one who hit up Target's Bullseye Bodega in Manhattan in search of cheap and chic finds. A gaggle of stars like Kate Mara also did some shopping last night. The actress, who's been spotted in the front rows of Fashion Week, channeled a rocker chick in her black leather jacket, black skinny jeans, and layered chain necklace. Her Brian Reyes belted linen top, funky tweed clutch, and metallic platform sandals inject some color to the mix.

Remember how I said a striped cardigan has the ability to inject a dash of sportif into an outfit? Rihanna is more proof of that. The singer looked casual yet pulled together while hanging out in Manhattan yesterday. Unbuttoning her Cardigan French stripe cardigan was a smart move as it kept her from looking too prim. To add some girliness to the mix, she accessorized with Louboutin pumps and a patterned Gucci satchel. And, of course, it wouldn't be Rihanna without a pair of funky glasses and oversized hoop earrings.

Fab Flash: Manhattan Saks Shoe Department To Expand

The shoe department at Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan is getting so big, it's even gaining its own government-approved zip code: 10022-SHOE. As of mid-August, the fabulous shoes that are now on the fourth floor are moving up to the eighth floor. Choos, Manolo's, Louboutin's and more will have a bigger and more grandiose 17,500-square-foot home, fittingly called 10022-SHOE (8,500 is for selling and 9,000 is for storage).

Chic shoppers will be able to take an express elevator into the salon, which is said to have more of a residential feel where shoppers are encouraged to interact with one another. Hand-blown glass will serve as walls and chandeliers will provide light. Do I smell a trip to New York, ladies?
