Stars Party Pretty For BCBG's 20th Birthday

In celebration of BCBG's 20th anniversary, the brand's biggest fans attended the Whitney Contemporaries art and auction party in NYC. Models and actresses alike posed and partied the night away in designer Max Azria's stunning frocks. Some opted for his Herve Leger line, while others went straight for Max Azria. Camilla Belle was one of the best dressed in this beautiful green one-shoulder ruffle Max Azria dress. Hilary Rhoda, Ali Larter, Alexis Bledel, and many others turned out as well. Come on in party people.

Miley and Max Azria Design For Wal-Mart

Next to jump on the celebrity designing bandwagon is Miley Cyrus. The teen sensation has teamed up with Max Azria to create a juniors collection at Wal-Mart. Word has it that Max formed a friendship with Miley and her parents during the course of dressing her for various red carpet events. "Miley Cyrus is talented and approachable, so working with her sparked a line that is authentic and vibrant," said Max Azria. The collection, seen on Miley, is set to release in early August and will include tops, pants, graphic tees, and shoes - all priced under $20. Certainly an interesting partnership; are you excited?

Angelina stuck to her red carpet standby Max Azria - a simple, monochrome chic dress - but this time, instead of a neutral, chose a moody slate blue. The drama is all in the billowy, plunging back, which in reality is the front of the dress. She wore it backwards to make it more blouson and to show off her tattoos. Do you like?

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Max Azria

When I spoke to Max Azria, who was Taylor Momsen's date to Fashion Rocks, he said his Max Azria Spring collection was going to be "sexy." Let's see. Whisper light jerseys, deep v-necks and backs, asymmetrical ruching, and dramatic drapes. Sexy.With a very pretty front row, sprinkled with ladies like Kim Raver, Malin Ackerman, and Michelle Tractenberg, the pared-down silhouettes let sensuality shine through. The neutrals - normally a bore to me - were delicate and refined. We eased into a deeper seagreen, and eventually black, navy, and plum. These last hues were stunning; the silk and rayon jersey dresses had dramatic plunges and peek-a-boo cuts - not for the fashion faint. There was a delicious beige leather jacket, a surprisingly wearable crepe one-shoulder jumpsuit, and architectural vests, so it wasn't all sex and games. A surprising utilitarian nylon cross strap fanny pack was questionable, but it's excusable: the "sexy" dresses were seriously Fab.

Hervé Léger is one of the most coveted brands out there right now and we're not going to stop seeing it anytime soon. Hervé Léger by Max Azria will stage its first fashion show since the mid-'90s on Sunday, February 3 at 11 a.m. in Bryant Park, during New York Fashion Week. This will mark a historic day in fashion: the first time Hervé Léger will be showing in the U.S (the collection was originally shown in Paris). It will also be the first time that an American designer, via the French-Tunisian Max Azria (left), will be producing three major fashion shows for three different collections during New York Fashion Week. So many record-breaking events - I can't wait!
