Why couldn't Katie Holmes have had lunch at Joan's on Third when I was there during LA Fashion Week?! Oh well. Armani has its place, but I like the laid-back Katie!

Like the Greek legend herself, something about the swirls and knots on these is so enchanting. We've seen snakes come and go in the fashion, but these are more wearable and less fierce. Don't get me wrong: I love sushi, martial arts films and Memoirs of a Geisha, I just haven't found any items that suit me from "The Land of the Rising Sun." Alas, fashion has worked its mojo once again and origami folds, cherry blossoms and obi belts have some serious staying power - Rachel Weisz turned Japanese in Alexander McQueen's shift dress at left. Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so . . .
