The menswear look was shown in collections from Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, and Jason Wu (just to name a few) and calls to mind liberated, cool-and-confident women like Katharine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall. Lately I have been drawn to menswear inspired looks. I think it has something to do with my obsession with stylish men such as Johnny Weir and Brad Goreski. Or maybe it's just my fashion instincts predicting a trend for Spring 2011. . .

Either way, I'm becoming obsessed with little oxfords and blazers, and even fedoras and bow ties, too. Today I even bought a flannel button up and a striped sweater from the guys' department. Sometimes the girls' section simply just doesn't have what you need, and getting boyish pieces from the actual "boys" department is as authentic as it gets.
