Ladies, listen up: if there's anything we've learned from the Fall runways, it's that it is officially time to embrace our masculine side. We're talking tuxedo jackets, bowties, suspenders - the whole nine. The menswear look was shown in collections from Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, and Jason Wu (just to name a few) and calls to mind liberated, cool-and-confident women like Katharine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall. If you need an extra push, just check out how cute Roseanne Doosje looks in Marie Claire Czech; it's a classic, sophisticated look that has just enough gender-bending appeal to make a serious statement - and somewhat ironically, can actually be super ladylike.

If you're feeling timid, keep your menswear color palette in chic black and white - the graphic combo is cool enough to make a statement, without feeling too stuffy.
Temper your androgynous ensemble with a pair of sky-high heels. Not only will they add a touch of femininity, but they'll also give you loads of confidence. The same goes for loose waves, lots of mascara, and a sweep of bright lipstick.
Opt for fabrics like silk, ponte, and tweed for a real borrowed-from-the-boys vibe.

Mens suiting has been done before - hello, Annie Hall, and Julia Roberts in that Golden Globes outfit - but Olivia Palermo gets the proportions all right in her casually sexy suit. She pairs skinny cropped pants and a boyfriend blazer over a white blouse and loose tie, but adds feminine touches like the jeweled tie clip and clear clutch, and sexy leopard pumps. The overall effect is casual, fun, surprisingly sexy. The notion of menswear for evening just became a lot more attractive.

Lately I have been drawn to menswear inspired looks. I think it has something to do with my obsession with stylish men such as Johnny Weir and Brad Goreski. Or maybe it's just my fashion instincts predicting a trend for Spring 2011. . .

Either way, I'm becoming obsessed with little oxfords and blazers, and even fedoras and bow ties, too. Today I even bought a flannel button up and a striped sweater from the guys' department. Sometimes the girls' section simply just doesn't have what you need, and getting boyish pieces from the actual "boys" department is as authentic as it gets.

The verdict is in as Paris Men's Fashion Week came to an exciting end over the weekend. Spring '11 conjured up a variety of styles ranging from streamlined suits to radical printed pants. Our attention immediately went to Givenchy's rocker cool leopard prints and Paul Smith's urban separates. Also noted were some bohemian influences from Alexis Mabille and the reappearance of baggy pants a la John Galliano. Could they be making a fashion comeback?!

Why I worry about these trends going mainstream I don't know. They so seldom do. But it remains to be seen if this Winter will bring plastic earmuffs.

It's barely Summer, and we're already looking at clothes for next year. At Paris men's Fashion Week, the stitching, makeup, and combinations were every bit as traumatizing as we've come to expect. Check out five looks I hope to never see again.

Milan Men's Fashion Week got my heart rate up, but now it's racing. The culprit? This steamy Dolce & Gabbana underwear ad featuring Adam Senn, formerly of The City, and Sex and the City 2 stud Noah Mills. These macho men make tighty whities look so good. Although it's not realistic, I'd like to see more boys walking around in nothing but Dolce & Gabbana underwear, a newsboy cap, and manly lace-up boots. Do you second that motion?
