It's been a busy week with the start of New York Fashion Week, but you better believe I've been keeping a close eye on those stylish celebs. This week's gang is mostly fancied up — George Clooney's girl Elisabetta Canalis worked the red carpet in teal blue Roberto Cavalli, Eva Mendes balanced sexy and elegant, and Penelope Cruz experimented with a new color. But in my humble opinion, Alexis Bledel stole the show in her one-shoulder Christian Siriano.

Thrilling. That best describes The Rachel Zoe Project premiere last night. The glamour, the gowns, the jewels, the tension — I knew I would be hooked the second time around, what about you?

Modern mules are back with a vengeance. I know, it's hard to step out of your comfort zone, but Fab has your back. Notice how new cuts range from feminine and sexy to hard rock cool.

As if hearing the man behind Chanel isn't thrilling enough, we chatted with sweetheart designer Zac Posen at the opening of Chanel's mobile art pavilion. He looked quite dapper — he was one of the few who actually bundled up — and joshed around with Karl, aw. Zac was very kind and spoke profoundly about his process.

Leave it to Beyonce to look as Fab at an airport as she does on the red carpet. I respect that. This is a woman who says her dressed-down look includes "a nice shirt, nice jeans, and stilettos."

Miley Cyrus stopped by Guitar Center over the weekend, presumably to invest in a new rockin' instrument. To look the part of cool musician, she wore Rachel Pally's star dress, a black cropped vest, and red Chucks. She balanced her girliness via a macho watch, a pair of geometric sunnies, and a colorful striped bag.

While Stella McCartney brightened up her resort, Donna Karan lightened things up. The designer called her 2009 resort line, "Bonjour New York." Well, bonjour Donna!

Olsen pal Jenni Kayne brings a piece of LA to the New York scene — and I, for one, am glad she does. Her Fall collection is a nice balance of grunge-inspired plaids, fine tuned menswear pieces, and maxi-length feminine skirts and dresses.
Prints and bright hues are sparse, but when they do show up, the leopard, fuchsia, patchwork, and yellow all work to great effect.
