Fashion is experiencing a hippie revival and I am not protesting this trend. However, I need your help deciding if I like handkerchief hems or not. I already confidently don wide-legged jeans and denim vests, but I'm not so sure about this nonchalant detail.

Designer Spotlight: Nieves Lavi
Lately I just can't get enough of the truly original print dresses by Nieves Lavi. The label was founded by fashion veterans Sam Nieves Velez and Sharon Lavi, both of whom cut their teeth as senior designers at Herve Bernard and also spent time at Anna Sui and Vera Wang, respectively. The pair's fun and funky print dresses and tops are spun from 100 percent silk and have just a slight retro edge with their classic, chic shapes.
