Nordic prints, also known as Fair Isle, have made a major comeback and I can see why. This interesting knit goes hand-in-hand with today's unfussy style and can brighten up any gloomy Winter palette. Some designers are influenced by art and nature, and others, like Helena Fredriksson, are affected by Ingmar Bergman's trippy, psychoanalytic films. Using sustainable fabrics and practices, the Brooklyn dweller visited the dark side for Fall, offering up a variety of draped dresses, moody Nordic-print tops, and avant-garde skirts. Her modern cuts are to die for and I'm entranced by her gloomy, romantic vibe.
