Zac Posen's Lower-Priced Line Back in Action!

Last we spoke about Zac Posen's lower-priced diffusion line, it was on hold due to the weak economy. No fear - it's back. Z Spoke is set to hit Saks Fifth Avenue exclusively in the Spring. The 60-piece range focuses on sportswear via knits, blazers, pleated khaki shorts, and shirts. The best part? The starting price point is $78.

"Zac has always wanted to do a line that would be Zac Posen, but maybe talk to a different girl,” said Ron Frasch, Saks's president and chief merchandising officer. No doubt it will speak to a different customer than his RTW line - one who is just as fabulous but budget-conscious.

Tobi Opens Virtual Dressing Room

Tobi, one of my favorite online boutiques, just got way cooler. The San Francisco-based retailer has opened up a virtual dressing room so customers can have a more hands-on shopping experience. "With Fashionista, not only could it possibly help customers answer, ‘How does this look on me?’, it’s also a fun and engaging way to help them discover new products that they wouldn’t have found through the normal shopping experience," vice president of technology Jeff Lee said.

You'll need a computer with a camera to participate. See yourself on the screen, pick which merchandise you want to "try on" and they will appear over your body. Of course, this technology doesn't help with fit, but it's innovative nonetheless. Curious how it works? Get started now.

Intermix Brings Richard Phillips's Stylish Art to the Masses

Ray-Ban Wayfarers Get Painted With Fun

Ray-Ban and the Sunglass Hut have partnered for a fun cause. The latter started the Sunglass Hut artist series, hooking up popular brands with up-and-coming artists. One of them is Brooklyn- and San Francisco-based Maya Hayuk. She has customized and hand-painted 150 pairs of Ray-Ban Wayfarers exclusively for the Sunglass Hut, seen below. Starting Nov. 30, you can pick up a pair, retailing for $140, in the Ray-Ban section of the website. I want them all, but that's not so bad because 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the charity OneSight.

Anna Sui for FitFlop: Love It or Hate It?

I admit, I was never a fan of FitFlops, but now that the brand has enlisted Anna Sui to design a line of cozy boots, I might reconsider. FitFlop - known for designing footwear that's biomechanically engineered to help tone and tighten your leg muscles while you walk in them - has collaborated with the bohemian designer to create these Shakoha Shearling Boots ($290). I know I'm not the only one obsessed with Mad Men. Not only is the plot juicy, but so are the clothes. I've already checked out Banana Republic's inspired pieces, made my own stylish Mad (Wo)Men, and hopefully soon, I can get retro designs from Mad Men's costume designer, Janie Bryant! “I love fashion as it allows us each to express our creativity and I love capturing the essence of an era through costume design,” says Janie. “Now I am looking forward to bringing that retro style to today's wardrobes.” Launch details are TBD, but we do know Janie is set to design a modern '60s-inspired line of men’s and women’s apparel, lingerie, swimwear, home, footwear and accessories. I love eBay, but what I don't love is the crazy amount of scrolling I have to do. Sometimes my searches yield over 20 pages - ugh! If you share my pain, there's a cool solution: PicClick.com. It's a visual browser for eBay so you can see all of the auctions without having to scroll. For example, my search for booties gave me the image below. And you can make the images as small or big as you want. It's super simple, just type in your search terms per usual and start browsing this more user-friendly eBay.

Steve Madden's Fresh Clothing Venture

I heart Steve Madden. Not only are its shoes rad, but reasonably priced, too. You can imagine my excitement when I found out the brand has teamed up with L’Koral Industries to create a fresh clothing collection. “They really understand my design aesthetic and the Steve Madden brand identity,” said Steve Madden. Like his footwear, the clothing line exudes fun and flirtation via an array of floral prints, zippered skirts, boyfriend blazers, and adorable ruffles. Cynthia Rowley Surfs With Roxy

Suddenly, Cynthia Rowley seems that much cooler. An avid surfer, she is teaming up with Roxy for a collection named Cynthia Rowley for Roxy. The first collection will launch exclusively at Barneys New York and at Colette in Paris in March. But don't fret beach dwellers: it will also be available in Roxy stores and in Cynthia Rowley boutiques worldwide. The whole Rowley clan hits breaks: "My family and I surf a lot. Just about every weekend in the Summer, we go to Montauk, and in the winter we go to the Dominican Republic for long weekends. I love that we have this family activity that we all really enjoy.”

Partnering with an outside designer to create an apparel collection is a first for Roxy. But the masterminds behind the lifestyle brand know to keep up with the Jones, “Our mission at Roxy has always been to have one foot in the surf world and another foot in the fashion world,” said Randy Hild, executive vice president of marketing at Roxy. Down to the sandy details! Expect Rowley-inspired wetsuits, boards shorts, shorts, tees, dress, swimwear, and accessories. Neoprene headbands? Right on. And, keeping with the affordable Roxy price point, the collection will be priced from $18 wholesale for a printed scarf to $89 wholesale for a long-sleeve bodysuit. Shaka.
