Paul Smith Recreates Sunnies For Oakley

There's nothing like a pair of cool sunnies, well maybe a pair of hot heels, but sunnies come in a close second. To further feed my addiction, Paul Smith has teamed up with Oakley to create a cool remix of its iconic '86 Oakley Frogskins - the quirky name refers to the rubbery-like finish. I'm pretty smitten with the girly pink hues and the tinted shades. Apparently, these sunnies were a big hit with surfers and skaters back in the day and I'm sure peeps will go ga-ga over them all over again. It certainly caught my attention. If you want a pair, act fast - only 500 pairs are available at Paul Smith shops and its e-commerce site.

On Our Radar: Paul Smith Creates Valentine's Day Collection

In celebration of Valentine's Day, Paul Smith has created a special, heart-infused capsule collection for you and your honey. "I think a Valentine's gift has to be given for the right reason," said Smith. "It should be a genuine way of expressing your love to somebody - the more personal, the better." His collection, ranging from $20 to $33, will include a sweet array of handkerchiefs, key rings, and totes. Keep your eyes peeled: Smith's Valentine's Day collection will launch online this week.

Fall Glimpse: Party Hose

I hope you wore out your black tights last Winter because party hose will soon put them to shame. Designers continue to play with hosiery and the Fall offerings will be anything but boring black. Don't get me wrong - a black tight is classic - but think about a textured black (Chanel, left, drool), a flowered jewel tone, an artsy statement, or the '80s fave: pantyhose. I'm pretty excited to revamp my hosiery drawer; I'm over black tights. Party on, Wayne.

When I think of quirky British design, one of the first names that pops into mind is Paul Smith. I've never seen such a thing in San Francisco: When we left the book signing of The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman at the Paul Smith store last night, the line to get in was down the block and around the corner. It's safe to say the street-style photog is a star. Book in hand, we approached the dapper Scott, who's completely handsome and respectable in person. He signed away, we chic chatted.
So why did he pick Julie, the New Yorker, for the cover? He explained how every time he posts Julie's picture on The Sartorialist, people comment about how perfect she is, so chic, so modern. But what they don't know is that she's less perfect than most because one leg is slightly shorter than the other. She's not traditionally perfect, but she knows how to work her imperfections and has a great pose. Selecting her for the cover had a deeper meaning than just someone who looked great.

Anyone who reads Scott's site knows that he's going out with French street-style photographer, Garance Doré. We mentioned to him how cute she is, and he corrected us, "she's totally hot!" He then proceeded to turn to page 314 of the book to show us the moment Garance fell in love with him two years ago. In the photo, she has a beaming, genuine smile. 'Tis love.

Favorite color? Blue!

Favorite designers? Dries Van Noten, Lanvin, Marni, and Marc Jacobs.

Favorite cocktail? Margarita.

East Coast or West Coast? East - gasp from the audience - what did you think I was going to say? But you guys are the most stylish crowd after Milan.
