Penelope Tangled in Gray Haider Ackermann: Love It or Hate It?

Penelope Cruz's all-gray outfit at the NYC premiere of Broken Embraces did nothing to shoot down the recent pregnancy rumors. The actress tangled herself in a gray Haider Ackermann gown, topped with an asymmetrical zip jacket by the designer. Providing slight sparkle are a pair of diamond earrings by Chopard and a diamond ring. It's a complex look and I would have loved to see the bodice of the dress, but that jacket is killer. What do you make of it?

Which Toronto Film Festival Attendee Is Most Fab?

While others flocked to New York Fashion Week, Penelope Cruz, Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox, and Jennifer Connelly made their way to Canada for the Toronto Film Festival. Each lady showed off her unique style, donning pretty frocks in a rainbow of colors. Penelope's seafoam one-shoulder confection complemented her amazing tan; Amanda's Brian Atwood pumps added a hard edge to her berry frock; Megan looked decadent and dangerous in her lace minidress; and Jennifer radiated sophistication in a tomato-red sheath and Yves Saint Laurent platform pumps. Do tell, which leading lady do you prefer?

It's been a busy week with the start of New York Fashion Week, but you better believe I've been keeping a close eye on those stylish celebs. This week's gang is mostly fancied up - George Clooney's girl Elisabetta Canalis worked the red carpet in teal blue Roberto Cavalli, Eva Mendes balanced sexy and elegant, and Penelope Cruz experimented with a new color. But in my humble opinion, Alexis Bledel stole the show in her one-shoulder Christian Siriano. I mean, between the red lips, the two-tone frock, and the red pumps, it's perfection. See who else dazzled us.

Penelope, Brad, and Michelle O Make Vanity Fair's International Best-Dressed List

Vanity Fair's 2009 International Best-Dressed list has been released, and it includes actors, models, designers, politicians, royalty, and socialites. The ones who made the cut need not have one particular fashion forte - they only need perennial style. Representing Hollywood are red-carpet queens Penelope Cruz, Anne Hathaway, Reneé Zellweger, Kelly Ripa, and Alicia Keys. Angelina Jolie didn't make the list but her man Brad Pitt did. And rightfully so! Our favorite Power Couple Natalia Vodianova and her hubby Justin Portman made it on as a couple, while Rachel Roy and Tory Burch got on solo.

Is Penelope Red Overkill?

Here is Penelope Cruz in head-to-toe red Bottega Veneta, on the red carpet, at the London premiere of Broken Embraces. Before we judge, let's discuss. The actress is clearly in love with red, which we know is going to be a huge color for Fall. She's wearing an oversized Bottega Veneta red blazer over a red tank, red trousers, a red belt, and standing on a matching red carpet. The only things that aren't red are her T-strap sandals, her jewels, and lips! Is this too much of a good thing?

Mango Swaps Penelope For Scarlett

Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson have a lot in common. Besides starring in one of my favorite recent movies, Vicky Christina Barcelona, the two Hollywood beauties also share a love for Mango. The Spanish retailer just announced Scarlett Johansson will be succeeding our beloved Penelope as Mango's new face. The brand describes Scarlett as the ideal Mango woman: "chic, independent, and cosmopolitan," also stating, "Johansson exudes a confident demeanor while remaining youthful and playful." Tear, we'll miss you Penelope. Johansson will make her first Mango debut in the Fall '09 campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti.

Nude shoes look great with anything, really. They elongate the leg and are the sexiest neutral around. Or, you can opt to go head-to-toe nude like Penelope Cruz, goodie nude shoes. Her banded Dolce & Gabbana is near nude perfection; her satin Very Prive Louboutins are insanely Fab. I have some classic nude patent Brian Atwood pumps that I always grab in a crunch. It's a worthy investment, but I recommend shopping for your nudes in the flesh to ensure a perfect skin match.
