The stars were out in full force at last night's An Original Penguin Party, and after seeing Paris Hilton and Stacy Keibler try on this adorable coat, I thought I'd see what the brand was all about, since I've never actually bought a piece of Penguin clothing. But I was delighted to discover that the retro brand's Fall and Winter 2006 lines are at once classic and trendy with playful cuts and colors. Here's a look at some of my favorite Penguin picks.

The key to dressing for a night at the movies is comfort. You're sitting down for a couple hours, at least, and snacking on forbidden junk food (no judgement!). As the boys' closets continue to inspire the girls' closets, the ladies are happy to take the creme de la creme of the penguin attire. Button up a vest, consume yourself in a crisp white shirt, slide on a pair of expertly tailored trousers and hello Marlene Dietrich - who set the standard for tuxedo chic. Dribble some satin and rhinestones on, for some femme effect, and get ready to razzle dazzle 'em.

I Want This Wardrobe: The O.C., Season 3

Season Three of The O.C. was the pinnacle for the show. Marissa gets kicked out of school for her shooting incident from Season Two, she then eventually goes off the deep end and turns to drugs & alcohol and relations with bad boy, Volchok. Kristin is recovering from her bouts with the bottle while Julie falls in love with Summer's dad - go figure. Adorable little blondie Anna & slightly annoying, but somewhat endearing, Taylor add comic relief. We re-meet Marissa's quickly grown up sassy little sis, Kaitlin. Also, Summer's style really evolves and she shows us her full beauty potential. All of this leading up to the foursome graduating, all from Harbor (yay!). Then, just when we thought they were home free and off to college, Marissa meets the ultimate doom and dies in a car accident. I for one, was totally crushed. On to the clothes, for which there were many cute ones this season!

I Want This Wardrobe: The O.C., Season 1

We thought with Summer right around the corner it would be fun to put together a wardrobe tribute for a guilty pleasure TV show that took place in a sublimely sunny part of the world: The O.C.. I for one was smitten by all the teen angst, with money, drama and the seemingly beautiful people. I wanted to hate Marissa for her unreal good looks and mood swings and Ryan for his violent temper and smoldering brow - but I just couldn't. And the parents were so cool, and beautiful too, albeit they had their own intriguing skeletons in their walk-in closets.

The O.C. set trends. Marissa inspired teenage, and er, twenty-somethings, to want to carry a Chanel handbag as their school book bag. Summer had a cute-as-a-button boho-California style that spawned my Marc by Marc Jacobs obsession and taught us all how to layer wisely. Kirsten and Julie had MILF written all over them. And, we all came to appreciate the cool dork in the Penguin polos: Seth. Without further ado...here is Season One. Stay tuned tomorrow for Season Two!

Paris Fashion Week, Fall 2007: Chanel

Here is Karl Lagerfeld's winter wonderland. And what a joy it is! The Chanel Fall 2007 collection was not as jaw dropping as the sharp, masterfully black and white Spring collection but it was yummy nonetheless.

Joining Marc Jacobs on the ice skating rink (now there's a funny visual), this collection was youthful and fun. I don't recall such a colorful collection from Chanel in so long! A plethora of Nordic prints, patent detailing and colorful tweeds lightened the mood. Dresses styled over pants were a cool twist; crimped hair added zest. The finale dresses are guaranteed winners with sharp draping, sequin accents and roped straps. A jeweled bib on a modern black dress made me swoon. And look at how cute this Lagerfeld penguin is on this sweater? Too cute for school!
