May was a casual but marvelous month for Zara; June is all about the prairie, preppy, and the whimsical. Easy mid-length denim skirts and crochet tunics belong in prairie-land. School-girl collared tops and plaid scarves are preppy chic, while oversized bows and bunny-print tops are unmistakably whimsical. Aside from the differing styles, the color palette is what binds all the pieces - soothing browns, denim, ivories, and khaki call for a serene Summer.

Thebudgetbabe is wondering: Is it Spring yet? No, but her airy prairie look sure makes it look like it is. In order to fight the cold, she paired her dress with Hunter Wellington boots. They toughen up the look and lend a British twist. Neat how the dress matches the blue fence!

Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House on the Prairie" book series will always have a place in my heart. My third grade teacher Mrs. Hester made my class read the entire series. At the time, I didn't really enjoy them and found their Midwest lifestyle completely distant from my own. As I got older however, I began to reread them and fell in love with the Wilder family and their do-it-yourself lifestyle: picking berries, making maple syrup, sewing clothes, and building cabins. If there was a field nearby to frolic in, this is what I would wear (with my hair in two perfect braids, of course)!

How Much Would You Pay For a Lipstick?

From Tom Ford to Dolce & Gabbana, luxe lip colors seem to be everywhere these days. But how much would you pay for a premium lipstick? Some high-end brands are hoping it's upward of $30, $40, or even an astonishing $60. Often made with premium ingredients (as is the case with La Prairie Cellular Lip Color, which includes a caviar-extract among its composition), a lot of what you're paying for is the glitzy packaging and prestige factor, however.

And although it's definitely a splurge to fork over $30 or more for designer cosmetics, Karen Grant of the marketing research firm the NPD Group explains to the New York Times that it's a trend on the rise. "Women are buying less purchases, but spending more on each product. They are making meaningful choices that matter to her and make her feel good," she explained. Recently, we've been dreaming in Airstream. The retro vibe of an Airstream trailer is innate in its funky shape and aluminum hue, but, recently, many Airstreamers are choosing to bring beautiful hues and luxurious fabrics into their nontraditional spaces, like this renovated Burning Man gem. Living outside in comfort, luxury, and style sounds right up our alley.

We came across a pretty impressive project, named Runaround Sue, from New Prairie Construction. She was a pretty sorry sight to begin with, but the transformation is nothing short of amazing. The space is so rich looking yet completely practical. The best part of Runaround Sue? She's currently for sale! Baxter of California and original Parisian cool-girl boutique Colette have teamed up to give California its very own honorary candle: Cruel Summer ($30).
