My prom was eons ago but there's no harm in reminiscing. Won't you join me? Helping us conjure up fond memories is Forever 21's adorable Prom '09 Look Book. Seeing these teenage girls and guys in their flirty getups makes me wish prom never ended. If I could go back, I would definitely do a few things differently, like wear a short dress and take pictures at a beachside amusement park. Why didn't I think of that back then? Viva prom!

Would You Let a Project Runway Designer Create Your Prom Dress?

What's "horrible and tacky and gross"? Last night's Project Runway challenge, according to Christian. The designers were asked to make prom dresses according to the specifications of some very opinionated high-school girls. I can't blame the girls: Who doesn't want to look good at prom?! Kevin was stuck in memories of his own Jersey prom, Rami twisted up a matronly frock, Ricky washed out his client, and Christian earned a berating from Nina Garcia herself. After all the mess that went down, could you confidently say you would put your prom dress's destiny in a PR designer's hands? If so, which one?

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Betsey Johnson

It was prom night all over again at Betsey Johnson. For those who had a bummer of a night the first time around, the Tent at Bryant Park was outfitted with glittering side tables and a disco ball. Betsey decided to show ultra feminine party dresses of tulle, ruffles and lame with flirty details like polka dots, pom poms and swirls. My favorite prom-inspired decade? Surprisingly, the 80s. This group was mostly in Betsey pink and black and had details like bows and corsets; it seemed the most wearable to me.

One thing is for sure: there is always a party at the Betsey Johnson show. LL Cool J and Tori Spelling, with hubby as prom date, were there and the models did their Betsey required flirty poses with the photogs at the end of the runway. The grand finale was, of course, Betsey and her cartwheels but this time she had granddaughter in tow. It was all very fun, very colorful and very Betsey!

Look of the Day: Orange Dream

igottrouble's orange dream prom dress provides us with a perfect example of using a dress shape to flatter your body. This one makes her waist look tiny and accentuates her curves! The orange color is ravishing against her skin tone. The cut reminds me of a Roland Mouret dress from a couple of years ago, and I love the back detail. Gorgeous!

Ready-Made Prom Outfits via A Devilish Challenge!

You all are missing out on some serious fun in the A Devilish Challenge group founded by redegg! Here, you can join in on some fashion challenges ranging from fantastical party wear to a trip to the City of Light to positively Posh outfits. The group was inspired by the Fab movie The Devil Wears Prada and has a cheeky air of mystique.

Most recently, they whipped together a challenge to find prom looks for the price of take out! Not only is that a genius title, but these looks are pretty smokin'. My favorite look, shown here, was created by atoxicsparkle . I love it because I was actually quite prim and proper for my prom and this look is sassy and fun! Freaky or Fabulous? Giles's Spring Spiders

For his Spring '10 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, Giles Deacon delivered a colorful and quirky collection filled with prom-inspired dresses, metallic pants, and see-through gowns. However, it was the abundance of creepy, crawly spiders that induced my fear. Indeed, I suffer from slight arachnophobia (although I guess I don't mind daddy longlegs, they eat other bugs, right?). And so, I don't understand why anyone would want to have a furry, eight-legged creature hanging off her chest. Maybe there are some fashionphiles out there that share Giles's love for spiders, just not me. Freaky or fabulous?

Fab Read: Rebel Rebel, Anti-Style

A bit of a rebel himself, British singer-turned-designer Keanan Duffty has penned a book that will appeal to, well, rebels. Rebel Rebel: Anti-Style ($23), debuting Sept. 8, is a 144-page book exploring how the "heritage and history" of fashion staples like the T-shirt and leather jacket have inspired that style. Famous rebels like Elvis Presley, James Dean, Johnny Depp and Gwen Stefani are also highlighted, as are denim, rock T-shirts and hoodies, hair, makeup, and body art. "When you walk into vintage stores, there are different sections for tuxedos, prom dresses, etc. We approached the book the same way," Duffty said. Makes total sense.

Gossip Girl Fashion Quiz: Episode 24 "Valley Girls"

It's a mixed crowd in how we feel about the Gossip Girl spinoff. If you didn't enjoy last night's flashbacks - I love how they melded the two times together - you're probably not feelin' it. If you did, like moi, you were probably highly amused by the good-girls-turned-bad Rhodes sisters from the Valley. And didn't the wild '80s house party seem way more fun than the modern-day prom? Maybe I'm just a sucker for excess, jean jackets, and Depeche Mode. In the end, it was a tale of sisterhood and motherhood, it tugged on my heartstrings a little. Did you look out for the fashion fodder?
