Do Sports and Fashion Mix?
Sorry Jack, you can't be a jock and rock high fashion.
Totally, I adore sports and style just the same.

Oscar De La Renta's Spring '09 campaign featuring Raquel Zimmermann is nothing short of exquisite. The ethereal ad, shot by Craig McDean, features Zimmermann looking fabulous in Oscar's layered silks and pointelle knits. The juxtaposition of the picturesque background and Raquel's strong features is genius.

Do You Shop at Street Kiosks?
Definitely — I've gotten tons of cool stuff from them.
Nah, I only buy from store or online.

Lanvin took a tale from the dark side for their Fall campaign. I have to say, this is simply too dark. The Spring campaign was just as creepy chic, but bubbled with the jewel hued dresses we have now seen oodles of times.

European Vogue magazines are pushing some fashion buttons. Alas, fashion must always be exciting, daring, and innovative. Can I get an amen?

The usually stoic Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld let loose (and even cracked a slight smile) in Madison Square Park on Wednesday while he took on his other occupation: photographer.
His current muse, gazelle-like model Raquel Zimmermann, posed and made silly faces while the designer snapped away for what I'm assuming is the next Fendi ad campaign. Of course, he didn't leave home without his fingerless leather gloves, dark shades, and square-toe boots.

Folded arms are usually associated with nonchalance and/or moodiness.
While it was somewhat surprising at first glance, it's not entirely shocking that Karl Lagerfeld had the models for his Fall '08 collection walk down the runway with folded arms. It's ironic that the robot-like designer was the one to encourage human qualities in his models.

Times they are a-changin'. Judging from Valentino's Spring/Summer '08 ads, it seems there's no longer a need for pretty-faced models to show off luxurious designer items. Even though it's Amber Valetta, Anja Rubik, Raquel Zimmermann, and Shalom Harlow hiding behind those drop-dead bags, it might as well have been any other model with a slim bod; Valentino could have even saved himself a buck or two!
