The abundance of balls brought out a slew of celebs to the East Coast looking pretty and proper in their celebratory gear. One of my faves was Anne Hathaway wearing a ravishing red gown by Dior. The worldwide promotion of Seven Pounds has kept Rosario Dawson happily busy in a bevy of beautiful dresses. In LA, the actress wore a slick Bottega Veneta nude number (which was my Fab favorite); in Germany, she shined in a silk chiffon asymmetrical gown by Azzaro; in Rome, Rosario wore a sassy Bottega Veneta LBD and a navy Ports 1961 frock; and in Paris, Dawson opted for a light lavender strapless Sonia Rykiel number with purple Christian Louboutin pumps. Tell me, which Rosario Dawson look do you prefer?

This Week's Fab Favorite: Rosario Dawson

Rosario in Bottega. A winning combination. We were pleasantly surprised by Rosario's choice to wear this monochrome Bottega Veneta look to the LA premiere of her new movie Seven Pounds. Rarely do stars attempt monochrome, and sexy monchrome at that. The camel one-sleeve crepe dress is a rare find, but the fact that it complements her skin tone so perfectly is what sealed the deal. Her crisscrossed camel Jimmy Choo sandals continued the fluid movement. To be sure she wasn't washed out, exotic Neil Lane for Arcade turquoise earrings framed her beautiful face. Speaking of framing her beautiful face, learn how to create the illusion of short hair. The other jewelry - thin gold bangles - gently sat on her wrist. Perfection personified.

We've seen it all on the red carpet - metallics, LBDs, fuchsia...

This year's MTV Video Music Awards brought out some sexy ladies in satin like Rihanna, Nelly Furtado, Rosario Dawson and Hayden Panettiere. All these gals decided to let the fabric of their frocks do the talking and boy was their chatter loud. Rihanna opted for long and pink; Nelly and Rosario kept it cool in black; and Hayden went fun in short and blue. Naturally, each exuded a very different look, but one thing kept them together: sexy satin!

Who knew a black dress could be so complicated? Rosario Dawson's mermaid-like dress has way too much going on - a patch of sequins at the side, leather piping, a tie-waist belt. Plus, her pointy pumps are a tad outdated, no? If it makes Rosario fans feel any better, her hair and makeup looks spot-on! Thoughts?
