Her black crocodile satchel and gold chain belt serve as luxe accessories. This outfit may be too conservative for a night out, but it would work perfectly for the office or a chic lunch.

2009 Primetime Emmy Awards Trend: Romanza

Romanza was in the air last night at the Emmys as the majority of Hollywood's leading ladies showed off their soft side in swirling ruffles, cascading tulle, sweet lace, soft chiffon, and decadent draping. Such romantic dresses are a popular choice on the red carpet and I can see why. They evoke instant femininity and appeal to both guys and dolls. Rose Byrne opted to wear a beige crystal-embellished tulle Valentino gown to the Emmys. Leaving full focus on her decadent dress, the actress accessorized minimally with a small black clutch and diamond earrings. It's definitely different from all the frocks we've seen thus far, and I like it. After all, there always has to be one princess at the party. Are you feeling it?

Behind the Seams: The September Issue, LA Screening

The September Issue opens at a theater near you this Friday - look out for my review earlier that day - but the stars got to see the highly anticipated flick last night. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art was the location and the guest list included Ginnifer Goodwin, Shenae Grimes, Jennifer Morrison, and more. Unlike us, who go to the movies in jeans, these celebs donned the cutest frocks. To their defense, there was a red carpet rolled out for the screening. Proceed to find out who showed up and what they wore.

Independent Spirit Awards: Cameron Diaz

Who Wore It Better? Burberry Metallic Tiered Dress

I just expressed how stunning Amy Smart looked in this Burberry metallic tiered dress she wore to the reopening party for Burberry Beverly Hills. Another actress, Rose Byrne, also recently wore the dress to a red carpet gala in NYC. Ooh, competition! While Amy opted for the brand's thistle bangle and T-strap sandals with metal stud heel, Rose wore simple black pumps and the Swarovski jeweled necklace we saw all over Burberry's Fall runway. Both ladies do justice to the dress, but who wore it better?
