The other day when we were at the grocery store, we couldn't help but notice a new flavor of Ruffles just in time for the Super Bowl: Molten Hot Wings. Since we're crazy about potato chips and love anything with Buffalo hot wing flavor, we picked up a bag. How did they taste? Find out after the jump.

Whether they adorn a blouse, a pair of socks, or a skirt – as in the case of Fab reader tanyazh – ruffles are a fun, feminine addition to any outfit. She paired a leopard H&M top with a tiered ruffle skirt from Urban Outfitters, added a basic black blazer from Forever 21, and polished it all off with a pair of cute off-white ankle booties. Her look features the perfect mix of trend pieces and classic staples, and is sure to ruffle some feathers in the office!

What's not to love about ruffles? My adoration for this flirty feature was revived upon my introduction to this Urban Outfitters Ruffles Wave Duvet Cover ($130). It comes in four different soft, feminine colors, and is only available online. I'd love to trade out my current cover for this one!

Also called a flounce, frill, or a furbelow, this sewing technique was first spotted in the 15th century. Originally found on drawstring necklines of chemises, by the 16th century it was making appearances all over ladies' garments. Today, you can find ruffles, or ruffle-like patterns, on everything from shower curtains to leather bags and blown glass.

Ruffles have been gracing more than the edges of red carpet gowns of late, adding a touch of fancy to the home on pillows, bedding, and shower curtains. For instance, this Martha Stewart Ruffle Throw ($40) would bring a subtle element of femininity to even the most dapper sofa.

I happen to be a sucker for anything with a wavy ripple, especially when it's not over the top. Here are some of my favorite less-is-more ruffled home décor pieces.

Everything is coming up ruffled this Spring, and the trend is working its way down to junior fashionistas as well. Unlike adults who often look like little girls when they overdo the look, ruffles look perfectly sophisticated and girly on pint-sized clothing.

Simple: Land's End has moved a bit more stylish this season borrowing some designs from their more fashionable competitors. Their all cotton Ruffle Cardigan ($30) would look perfect on its own, or layered over a Spring dress or t-shirt.
Swank: Crewcuts Classroom Cardigan ($54) looks just like a sized-down version of mama's favorite sweater. This version adds a silk ruffle to a cotton knit sweater.
