Watch out cool cats, there's a new designer duo in Fog City. Identical twins Daniel and David Concepcion were the sweethearts of San Francisco Fashion Week with their sharp edged but wearable cool-girl (and boy!) collection. Dcepcion premiered their first full collection this year and it was very well received...

Texas-born designer Emily Jane showed on the first day of San Francisco Fashion Week and she instantly caught my eye with her fem/mas designs. What was interesting about her collection is that despite the masculine details (tuxedo-inspired blouses and bow ties), it retained an air of girliness and elegance.
Some taffeta dresses were bridesmaid-y, but on the flip side, belted silk frocks could pass for red-carpet looks.

Kirribilla was one of my favorite collections at San Francisco Fashion Week. One may argue it was one colorful dress after another but we all know I am a dress junkie!
The young label was founded in 2005 by three best friends whose goal was to make every girl feel like the prettiest one in the room.

Like yours truly, haute77 attended San Francisco Fashion Week last weekend. And she caught Fuchsia Fever on the way! Though we've seen our fair share of pink dresses, this Fab reader keeps it interesting by choosing one with girly tiered sleeves.

I was introduced to the clothing of Bay Area designer Lisa Vian Hunter at San Francisco Fashion Week over the weekend. Hunter got her degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and has been a fan of the fashion world for over 20 years. In 2003, she started custom designing clothing for Bay Area clients and in 2006, she opened her first boutique in Palo Alto, California.

In honor of the three-day weekend, I'm wrapping up Fabsugar's San Francisco Fashion Week coverage by featuring the cool, color-block swimsuits designs of Anazara. Created by Bay Area resident and Croatia native Ana Paunovic, Anazara's artful one- and two-piece swimsuits use creative details like bows, sashes, and cutouts for a sexy look that's not too revealing. Particularly up close, the suits look as soft and cozy as t shirts.

Arun Nevader/WireimageVictorian elegance meets Japan hipster cool in the designs of Oda, featured at San Francisco Fashion Week. The label is a collaboration between three Bay Area designers: Angie Kim, Mandalyn Begay, and Maggie Kim. Oda's Spring 2007 collection, Threesome of Stone, incorporates luxurious textures in chartreuse and lavender with delicate lace and trim detailing.

Arun Nevader/WireimageWith her Pink Elf label, Bay Area fashion designer Kaushie Adiseshan set out to create what she calls "easy glamour," using pieces so singularly stunning there's no need to mix and match. For her Spring 2007 collection, which debuted at San Francisco Fashion Week, the Bombay, India, native blends exotic Eastern inspiration with 1970s disco flash.

It's telling that San Francisco-based designer Kelly Barry started out as an environmental science major at the University of Colorado. Her Kelly B clothing line, featured at San Francisco Fashion Week, is made entirely from organic cotton and other organic fibers. (To learn more about organic cotton, read here.)
Kelly B's comfy, casual knits mix a trendy '80s vibe with playful nautical accents.
