Don't get me wrong, she pulls both seasonal looks off; it's just I'm so used to seeing her in airy dresses and sandals. Fab Finding Follow Up: A Winter to Spring Outfit

One of the trickiest wardrobe times is the seasonal transition. How annoying is it when the sun is pouring in through your windows but you step outside and it is surprisingly crispy cold? You then feel unprepared for the rest of the day - or even worse, have to turn around, run home, and add another layer.

The solution to this dilemma is layering. This was a Fall trend that carried over into Spring, so luckily we've been seeing numerous examples on the runways and magazines. I showed you a look from the Marc Jacobs Spring collection for inspiration. I asked you to go Fab Finding for some Spring layering essentials. Come Fab Finding With Me: A Winter to Spring Outfit

The solution to this dilemma is layering. This was a Fall trend that carried over into Spring, so luckily we've been seeing numerous examples on the runways and magazines. Here is a look from the Marc Jacobs Spring collection. If you pull apart the outfit and add some jeans, fingerless gloves, and a more wearable hat, one can appear freshly in style and not sacrifice warmth.

We have seen a couple Looks of the Day that exhibit layering pretty well, but let's go Fab Finding for some Spring layering essentials. BCBG Runway Fall 2012

An architectural aesthetic, specifically Bauhaus style, rules for BCBG's Fall 2012 collection. Structure manifested itself via colorblocking, but it was done on fluid silk chiffon shift dresses, so the effect was a pretty blend of strong forms on flowy silhouettes. The geometric shapes created by bold color combos - black and orange, merlot and blush - were intensified with textural plays like sheer insets and clever pleating that made dresses look magically fluid and sharp at the same time. To counter the collection's emphasis on lightweight materials like silk and chiffon, it also sent cozy outerwear down the runway - we have mixed emotions on the return of gorilla-armed coats, but the multicolor fur vests and canvas and leather trenches were artful choices for next season. The minimalist approach to geometric forms and bold color combinations, together with the flowy silhouettes, make for clothes that are ideal to wear to a gallery opening.

Trends: Colorblocking, fur, architectural detail, Bauhaus.
Colors: Merlot, blush, camel, cream, navy, coral, teal.
Key Piece: The canvas and leather trench coat; the super-cool pleated dresses with tulle inserts.
Accessories: Open-toe ankle-strap sandals, bags with contrasting textures like snake and suede.
Who Would Wear It: Erin Wasson was in the front row, but the structured, urbane collection seems more suited to Naomi Watts or Thandie Newton.

While Karolina opted for Alexander Wang's Pre-Fall '12 look at a Jay-Z concert, Diane Kruger embraced the trend in her 10 Crosby by Derek Lam florals and stripes at the Berlin International Film Festival. Every season, we're introduced to new styling techniques and while fashion is all about experimentation, we're wondering: do you think the designers' new layering techniques translate well into real-life fashion? How to Throw a The Artist-Themed Oscar Viewing Party

The Oscars air on Sunday, Feb 26, and any movie lover already has the date penciled in. In case your plans are even grander than simply watching the show and you want to throw a viewing party for friends, then why not pick a theme based around one of the best picture nominees? I'm suggesting The Artist as inspiration, the delightful silent film that's been creating a deafening award season buzz. Here's how to pull it off.

How to decorate: All your decorations should be black and white, with art deco accents. Play The Artist movie soundtrack or big band music while guests are arriving. And if you know anyone who owns a Jack Russell Terrier, borrow him and pretend he's Uggie.
How to dress: In glam 1920s Old Hollywood garb. Think tuxes for men, and flapper dresses or diaphanous gowns and long pearls for women.
What to serve: Lots of champagne, of course, along with Manhattans and Sidecars, cocktails popular in the '20s.
How to act: Ask everyone to be as silent as possible, but expressive with their face and hands. It sounds crazy, but at least you won't have to shush anyone when the show starts.

Victoria Beckham Talks Insecurities and Inspiration in i-D

Victoria Beckham gets quirky on the cover of i-D magazine's "Whatever the Weather" issue, which hits newsstands on Feb. 9. She posed in skimpy clothes for the playful spread after also donning a leotard in Numéro Tokyo last month. Victoria's been working on her collection in London as she gears up for Fashion Week while her husband, David, recently debuted his own underwear line for H&M. Victoria chatted about her insecurities and inspiration for her clothes in the publication. Here's more from Victoria Beckham in i-D magazine:

On her changing style: "When I started it was all about the corset dress. That's what people associated me with, and possibly if I'm honest a sign of my own insecurities as well. But the older I get and the more comfortable I am in my own skin, the more I realise that to look great and feel great I haven't always got to wear something tight."
On her design inspiration: "I don't follow fashion and I don't follow trends, I just follow my instincts and think what do I want to wear? What am I feeling for next season?"
