The East and West collided together at Jen Kao's Fall showing, resulting in an unapologetic mashup of sexy fringe, baseball caps, and ombré lace dresses. While it might sound a little disjointed, Kao managed to pull it all together creating a carefree attitude with her mixed bag of offerings. Printed floral dresses were decorated with fringe, pleated leather and silk maxi dresses were styled with baseball caps, and crochet dresses were layered over silk printed tops. The results? A rebellious kind of beauty any cool girl - like front-row attendee Zoe Kravitz - would love to wear on any given day.

BCBG Runway Fall 2012

An architectural aesthetic, specifically Bauhaus style, rules for BCBG's Fall 2012 collection. Structure manifested itself via colorblocking, but it was done on fluid silk chiffon shift dresses, so the effect was a pretty blend of strong forms on flowy silhouettes. The geometric shapes created by bold color combos - black and orange, merlot and blush - were intensified with textural plays like sheer insets and clever pleating that made dresses look magically fluid and sharp at the same time. To counter the collection's emphasis on lightweight materials like silk and chiffon, it also sent cozy outerwear down the runway - we have mixed emotions on the return of gorilla-armed coats, but the multicolor fur vests and canvas and leather trenches were artful choices for next season. The minimalist approach to geometric forms and bold color combinations, together with the flowy silhouettes, make for clothes that are ideal to wear to a gallery opening.

Rachel McAdams Makes a Good Morning Visit For The Vow

Rachel McAdams made an early visit to Good Morning America's Manhattan studios today. The actress, whose latest film The Vow hits theaters next week, covered up a blue-striped shift with a white coat as she headed to the TV appearance. Later, she changed into a gorgeous jacquard dress by Andrew Gn before returning to her hotel. Rachel and her leading man in the movie, Channing Tatum, have been hot on the promotional trail for weeks. They've made stops in London, Germany, and LA to chat up the romance together. Karl Lagerfeld put together an in-flight crew of the chicest kind. His Spring '12 Couture collection modernized and glamorized vintage flight attendant uniforms, outfitting his models in the same knee-length skirt suits and sheaths, albeit with Karl's eye for embellishment and detail. He quite literally took us to the skies (complete with gravity-defying hair!), drawing inspiration not only from the structure and silhouettes, but also using an entire palette of blue, ranging from soft powder blue frocks to decadent midnight blue sequined gowns. He marries the intricacy of paillette-dotted gowns, proportional play, and the most delicate of drop earrings with practicality - no over-the-top footwear and a form of the label's shifts and tweeds still intact. He speaks to the whimsy without compromising what the Chanel client wants - classics, wearability.

Trends: Sequins, ladylike, sheer, volume, and cutout shoulders.
Colors: All shades of blue, white.
Key Look: The deep v-neck sequined cocktail dress with shrug layered underneath has Diane Kruger written all over it.
