Fab Finding Follow Up: Saturday Yoga and Yummy Brunch

Earlier this week, I asked you to imagine it's a mellow Saturday morning (soon!), and you're ready to relax. To help you get to a more peaceful state of being after a whirlwind week, you're going to yoga and then heading straight to brunch, "Sex and the City"-style, to catch up with a few of your girlfriends. You want to stay pretty low-key, but still look cute, because you never know who you might meet along the way!

Fab Flash: Nicole Miller and Stella McCartney, Fur or Anti?

In response to the NYC Animal Rights' plans to stage a rally outside her Spring 2008 show on September 5, Nicole Miller has announced that she plans to be fur-free starting in the Spring. She says that her current use of fur is "miniscule," about 0.008% of the total items sold under the Nicole Miller label, but after NYC Animal Rights started a smear campaign on their website, with one section dubbed "Nicole Miller Animal Killer," she reconsidered.

Meanwhile, another lady in fashion who is well-known for her anti-fur tendencies, Stella McCartney, is feeling a bit of heat. The designer is finding herself in a sticky situation, as animal welfare campaigners are decrying Adidas, who Stella designs a collection for, for their use of kangaroo leather. Stella herself has made no comment on the matter thus far.

UPDATE: Stella has just issued a statement, vowing that her Adidas by Stella McCartney collection is "100% cruelty-free" and that no leather or fur are used.

While BuzzSugar brings you Sundance Film Festival coverage, I thought you might all want to know that Stella McCartney's ski collection for Adidas is on sale! I know! Very exciting. I have been eyeing these super sleek slope designs for months now, but they are a bit expensive for seasonal wear. Now I may be able to indulge. I do need a new ski jacket and how stylin' would I be in this Rosewood Women's Mountain Jacket, on sale for $488 (was $650)?

Cute Workout Clothes: Stella McCartney for Adidas

When it comes to workout clothes, I usually keep things pretty basic, and so, it seems, do FabSugar readers. But there's nothing like cute workout clothes to motivate me to exercise, and right now I'm obsessed with the apparel and accessories from Adidas by Stella McCartney. This luxurious line of gym, running, tennis, and swim gear is stylish enough to wear outside the gym, and I love the pink, purple, and brown color palette. Here are some of my favorite finds.

Women's Softshell Jacket, $400, available here. I love the asymmetrical zipper on this dusty-rose jacket, which you could wear en route to the gym or during any outdoor activity.

If you think you were busy this year, wait until you see how many designers expanded their businesses in 2008. Hint: It took me a crazy long time to round them all up. Majors like Diane von Furstenberg, Alexander Wang, and Stella McCartney added more to their plates, as did smaller brands such as Members Only and Paige Denim. From jewelry and shoes to entire contemporary lines, these companies did what they could to boom their business.

Fab Finding Follow Up: Tennis Cutie

As you all know by now one of Spring's biggest trends is Get Sporty. I was recently flipping through a magazine and was inspired by one of Mischa's ads for Keds. I've been thinking of taking up tennis lately - there are some free courts right by my apartment - and it's time to start getting back into shape for the summer!

Fab Flash: Stella McCartney to Design for LeSportsac

Every girl's designer, Stella McCartney, has signed on with LeSportsac to design a limited edition collection that will launch in Spring 2008. While I love her collaboration with Adidas, the athletic collection was a bit limiting, and expensive. According to WWD, this collection will consist of multipurpose travel bags, luggage, totes and baby accessories. It will be sold in high-end department stores and specialty stores worldwide, as well as five LeSportsac stores in New York and LA. For us online shoppers, it will be found through their online store. With 30 to 40 bags in the works, ranging from $200-$250, I personally can't wait!
