With Summer almost upon us, are any of you tempted to hit the pool to revive your breaststroke, front crawl, or butterfly kick? It's been awhile, a long while, since I've done laps of any sorts. And with my hideous collection of eight-year-old one-piece bathing suits, who can blame me? One-piece swimsuits used to be so blah, so restrictive, and would cover up way more than needed to be covered. Even Michael Phelps would have been appalled. Nowadays? Not so much. Lima made an appearance this morning at the Victoria's Secret store in SoHo NYC, wearing a sleek navy sheath by Black Halo, to promote the brand's sexy new bombshell collection. Between photo snaps, Adriana took time out to talk about being a bombshell, finding the perfect swimsuit, and more:

On being a bombshell: Being a bombshell is about embracing yourself and feeling confident. There are things you can do to help you feel confident like wearing the right lingerie and choosing the right swimsuit for the beach.
On finding the perfect swimsuit: Number one is that you have to find something you feel comfortable in. It's not about showing more or less, it's about you feeling confident with what you're wearing. I love triangle-shaped tops and bottoms, the smallest ones possible because I hate tan lines.
On her favorite pieces from the VS bombshell collection: The collection is all about being sexy and embracing your sensuality. The balcony bra is my favorite; I love the shape and colors and it's very Brigitte Bardot. The miraculous is good for nightwear, it's very va-va-voom.
On her Summer essentials: A stringkini, eyeliner, flip-flops, a pair of cute shorts, and VS bra and panties.

The pear shape is like an exaggerated hourglass figure: slim on top, with wider hips, rear, and upper thighs. If you have a pear-shaped body and want to minimize your widest part, while highlighting your most slender parts, here are the things to look for:

SKIRTED BOTTOMS: There are all kinds of skirted bottoms, from sexy, ultra short fitted ones to swingier versions. The skirted bottom, as opposed to bikinis or briefs, simply covers up your widest parts. You can choose a fitted skirt or a loose version, whatever is more comfortable for you.

DARK BOTTOMS, PRINT ON TOP: Since you're smaller up top, use a print to draw attention upwards. Keep the bottom dark and solid, and it will perform an amazing trick of the eyes and make you look smaller overall.
