Japan is still reeling from the aftermath of the huge 9.0 earthquake and tsunami that hit last week on the country's northern coast. Cleanup and rescue efforts are still under way, and while you can text donations to the Red Cross and donate via iTunes and Facebook, you can also shop for a great cause. Granted, it's not totally cheap, but I can handle paying that much for a piece that will make me look unique. And it's versatile too - throw it on over a pair of cargos while running errands, then wear it with a killer mini skirt during nighttime. If it's still too pricey for you, consider cutting the one sleeve off a black tee you already own.

Vena Cava to Launch Lower-Priced T-Shirt Line!

Vena Cava designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock are no strangers to designing on the cheap. Remember their collaboration with Gap/CFDA? Now the designing duo has announced a lower-priced T-shirt line called Viva Vena. The fabrics will be jersey and organic cotton, but unlike many basic tees out there, they will include Vena Cava's signature prints. "We looked around and noticed that almost nothing was printed," Buhai said. The collection, retailing for under $200, will debut in July at Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Shopbop, and La Garconne.

So how did the duo join forces? "Catherine has been a dear friend of mine for years and, after she learned about FFAWN and our mission, she offered to create a T-shirt collection that would celebrate being women, being strong and being free," Blige said. Great friends, doing great things.

Though it's there for good reason, the cone of shame certainly makes pups look rather silly while scampering down the street. Naturally when I saw this shirt referenced on my favorite vet blog, Dolittler, I had to hunt it down for myself.
