Tall boots are incredibly hot, and this pair of Sergio Rossi Kimono Embroidered Boots combines two of Fall's biggest tall-boot trends: flat heels and embellished leather styles. These wild and rich boots would definitely stand out in a crowd, with their metallic bronze leather and bold fish embroidery. I particularly like the jeweled buttons that run up and down the sides, though thankfully, the boots actually zip up. But the whole goldfish motif is a little odd, so I can see how they might be a bit off-putting to some people. You're Fired! 20 Signs That a Pink Slip Is Coming

If something feels off at the office, you may want to brace yourself for the worst. Wise Bread shares signs to look for when a pink slip is coming.

There are two types of employees. One has a good idea of what they do, who they are, and what position they play in the company. They are savvy. They know the score. They are under no delusions, and will no doubt leave for another job long before they are ever considered as cannon-fodder.

And then there's the other kind. The guy who could get Gandhi to hate him. The woman who spends most of her day chatting on the phone to friends or doing online shopping. Or the nice chap in sales who is completely oblivious that the recent merger means his job is now obsolete. They all have Ostrich Syndrome. They couldn't see a pink slip coming if it was 8ft tall and glowing in the dark, screaming "you're fired!"

You want to avoid being in that second category at all costs. So I've compiled a handy list. If you can answer yes to THREE or more of these questions, you may want to think about sprucing up your résumé and dry-cleaning your best interview attire.

1. Are you no longer in the loop about, well, anything?

This is a huge telltale sign. Suddenly you're finding out about company news from the cleaning lady or the new girl in accounting. If you were formally in the know about all things business related, but now suffer from "the company's doing what??!" disease, the writing is probably on the wall.

2. Did you recently screw up big-time?

We're not talking a minor faux pas here. Did you lose money on an account that was previously bulletproof? Oh dear. Were you caught having sex on the boss's desk with the boss's spouse? That's probably not a career-enhancing move. Unless you're a real dope, you know if you have screwed up. And if you know, HR knows. It may not be the final nail in your coffin, but it's a nail in the coffin nonetheless.

3. Are people avoiding you at all costs?

Eye contact is difficult to make with someone if you know his or her head's on the chopping block. Small talk is just as tough. It's best just to avoid that person altogether. So if people are no longer doing that fun "stop 'n' chat" in the hall, or the coffee room empties when you arrive, then guess what . . . you may be a marked man or woman.

Entryways tend to be smaller, but that doesn't make them any less important - after all, the foyer is a guest's first impression of your home. For that reason, it's worth your time to design an entryway that nicely reflects your style. Not sure where to start? Follow these quick tips to create a foyer that's both functional and well-decorated year-round:

Go with a statement piece. The easiest way to have a major impact is to choose a unique focal point that visitors will notice right away. A gorgeous mirror is a practical pick, since it allows you to have one last look-over before walking out the door. Other ideas include a large work of art, a striking armoire, or a colorful chair.
Consider your storage options. Are you regularly grabbing keys, hats, or gloves as you leave? Choose a piece of furniture that suits your habits, whether that's a tall chest of drawers or a tiny table to hold your essentials. If you live in a climate with four seasons, think about your Winter storage needs before making any purchases.
Don't forget seating. A chair of some kind is crucial for practical reasons - putting on shoes, waiting guests - but don't choose just any chair: pick one that embodies your personal style. Since there's little else to coordinate with, this is a great place to indulge your creativity and buy a chair that perfectly represents your taste.
Set the mood with lighting. A chandelier strikes a much different note than, say, a table lamp. Since you're dealing with a smaller space, every piece of furniture matters, so pick one that says something. For a fun, eclectic look, try a stark contrast, like a gold, contemporary floor lamp with a rustic wooden table.
Leave space for extras. Don't crowd your foyer with unnecessary knickknacks because you'll need that space for all those random items that you end up tossing aside as soon as you walk in. Prevent a mess before it starts by leaving ample room for everyday accessories.
Make simple seasonal swaps. As the months change, so does your decor. The easiest, neatest way to transition your entryway? Rather than adding to the space, trade pieces - one in, one out. Some examples: a Winter boot tray, a Spring umbrella rack, or a Summer picnic basket. That way you don't have to add extra clutter, just exchange your pieces for other, more seasonally appropriate items.

With a nod to South American dressing, Christophe Lemaire crafts a wearable collection of delivered strong outerwear - even capes and blanket-like ponchos were elevated with Hermès's quintessential luxe for Fall 2012. Relaxed staples were reimagined in sophisticated detail - leather layered in chubby fur, leather gaucho pants, leather capes, and loose velvet tops and dresses. Dressed-down got a decidedly dressier edge, but only really in its fabrication. As a whole, silhouettes were oversize; the vibe was decidedly more androgynous with masculine tailoring dominating throughout and inspiring images of Annie Hall's slouchy suiting. That's not to say there was no refinement here – Hermès's girl may not do frills, but she's certainly not without polish: cocoon coats crafted in rich color, swathed in suede, and finished with a touch of leather were steeped in Hermès luxe.

Trends: Menswear, leather, ponchos, fur, prints, velvet, gaucho pants.
Colors: Navy, gray, black, red, teal, orange, olive.
Key Look: The front-zip cocoon coat feels impeccably chic.

Peter Dundas showed off his signature sex appeal for Emilio Pucci's Fall 2012, crafting a decadent line in fur, sheer, and rich leather detail. It was a little like sensory overload at Pucci - that's not to say that it wasn't all done with perfect precision - there was just a lot to take in. When Dundas isn't honing his craft on ultrasexy evening wear - full-length, figure-flaunting gowns with sheer cutouts or embellished detail - he offers up brilliant prints on both slouchy suiting and drama-inducing frocks. Nearly everything gets the luxe treatment; if it's not a fur tossed nonchalantly over gowns and metallic suiting, then it's skirts and shifts finished in textured croc - and a leg-baring slit went with practically anything. Still, to sum it all up in red-carpet glamour would mean missing the menswear-inspired coats and tuxedo jacket paired with smart cropped trousers and finished in sharp white and black or soft powder blue. Dundas zeroes in on both the supersexy and the smarter stuff here - and with all things, he stuns.
