However, there was an equal amount of fun happening out in the audience! The Beckham boys Romeo, Cruz, and Brooklyn were able to rub shoulders with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez during a break from the loved-up couple's serious PDA session. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson, wearing Dolce & Gabbana, said hello to his old Harry Potter buddies Tom Felton and Rupert Grint. Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi showed some love, Rachel Bilson caught up with fellow fashionista Blake Lively, and Ashley Greene managed to catch a few minutes with pal Taylor Swift. Last night at the Teen Choice Awards, beautiful blondes Cameron Diaz and Taylor Swift both accepted surfboard trophies. Backstage, the successful celebs offered words of wisdom to their presumed audience: teenagers. Thirty-eight-year-old Cameron Diaz said teens should realize that your real life starts after high school. Cameron explained that "where you're at as a teenager, that's not the real world. Outside of high school is where you start living life. The things that happen in high school, it's not the end of the world. We live in a bubble in high school, but anything that happens feels like the end of the world or the best thing that's ever going to happen to you."

At 21, Taylor Swift is closer to her teen years, and the advice she gave in the pressroom differed from Cameron's. Taylor Swift thinks young people should take their teen years more seriously, saying: "Live your life like you're 80 looking back on your teenage years. You know if your dad calls you at eight in the morning and asks if you want to go to breakfast? As a teenager you're like no, I want to sleep. As an 80-year-old looking back, you have that breakfast with your dad."

It was a star-studded affair at last night's Teen Choice Awards in Studio City, CA. Robert Pattinson was still rocking his half haircut from Cosmopolis, though it was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 that scored the biggest honors of the night. California girls Blake Lively and Cameron Diaz both walked away with surfboards while the Vampire Diaries trio all received awards, too. Both Mark Wahlberg and David Beckham brought their kids to the show: Mark shared the day with his adorable daughter while David brought Cruz, Romeo, and Brooklyn along. Cory Montheith stepped back to the press room at the Teen Choice Awards in LA last night after accepting his surfboard for his work on Glee. It was one night after the big world premiere of the Glee 3D movie, and he joked about how odd it was to see himself up on the big screen saying, "I'm not used to myself in that many Ds. That's a lot of Ds!" He also fielded a question about his future on Glee, though Cory revealed that he actually doesn't know what is going to happen at the end of next season. There's been a lot of talk about his character graduating and a possible spin-off, though Cory contended that even he's not sure what's in store. When asked about leaving the show Cory said, "I really don't know. They don't tell me anything! I'm just an actor!"

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez got playful in their seats during last night's Teen Choice Awards in LA. The hot young couple arrived separately, but met up once they got inside and sat side by side holding hands throughout. Justin sneaked in a few kisses with Selena when their duties didn't call them up to the stage. Both Justin and Selena were winners during the show, and she also performed "Love You Like a Love Song" with her band The Scene. Justin gave a big shout-out to all his fans and proclaimed his faith as he stepped up to accept his surfboard from good friend Sean Kingston, who made his first official public outing since his jet-ski accident earlier this Summer. Selena had a handful of costume changes throughout the night, and her super-short mini showed off a daring amount of leg as she cuddled up to Justin. Harry Potter and Twilight Are Both Big Winners at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards!

Another Teen Choice Awards has come to an end, leaving in its wake some nerdy fun with Zachary Levi, a sing along with Ashton Kutcher, and many a surfboard distributed to favorites in movies, TV, and music. The wizards beat the vampires this year, as Deathly Hallows Part 1 dominated the movie category with seven wins. Rupert Grint and Tom Felton represented Hogwarts, while a handful of the Twilight kids came out for the show, including Robert Pattinson, who took home the surfboard for choice movie actor in a drama.

Taylor Swift was full of love for all her teenage fans as she took the stage and hit the press room at the Teen Choice Awards in Universal City this evening. She looked ladylike in her white dress after accepting her Ultimate Choice surfboard from good friend Emma Stone. Backstage Taylor talked about the best advice that she got when she was a teenager just a few years ago and what sort of music she's listening to these days:

On the best advice she got as a teenager: "Live your life like you're 80 looking back on your teenage years. You know if your dad calls you at eight in the morning and asks if you want to go to breakfast? As a teenager you're like no, I want to sleep. As an 80 year old looking back, you have that breakfast with your dad. It's just little things like that that helped me when I was a teenager in terms of making the choices you won't regret later."
On what she's listening to these days: "I'm really going through a Beach Boys phase. I'm listening to the Beach Boys and The Shirelles. All kids of 50s and 60s music."
