As you know, this year's Costume Institute Gala was all about models. The red carpet and parties are no longer, but the Met exhibition — The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion — will remain until Aug. 9.

Here I thought we had a few more episodes of Project Runway to go, but last night was the last challenge episode before the finale. Not only that, but Heidi announced that there would be two eliminations at the end of the episode — cue the stress! Once reality sunk in, Tim Gunn swept the designers off to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where they each chose one painting or sculpture for inspiration.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has chosen "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" as the theme of its Spring exhibit. The museum plans to explore the superhero's iconic costume of cape, mask, and bodysuit as it has appeared in fashion. The exhibit, which is co-chaired by Giorgio Armani, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour, will run from May 7 to September 1, and the accompanying gala, known as the Oscars of the fashion industry, will be hosted on May 5.

Two of the most influential people in fashion today, Anna Wintour and Balenciaga designer, Nicolas Ghesquière, along with a whole bunch of A-List celebs, gathered at the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute to Celebrate Paul Poiret last night. Everybody who is anybody attended the Gala and they were dressed to impress.
Paul Poiret was a fashion pioneer who freed women of corsetry and adopted shocking colors and exotic references of the Ballets Russes to the haute couture.
