The Hollywood Awards Gala, the first event of award season, summoned a star-studded cast in LA last night. Charlize Theron, Zooey Deschanel, Diane Kruger, Julianne Moore, and Kate Beckinsale all livened up the red carpet with their chic ensembles. Charlize and Kate opted for slimming black, Diane looked angelic in white, and Zooey and Julianne coated themselves in color.

Freaky or Fabulous: Ashley and Mary-Kate's Laced Ears
Girls just wanna have fun. That's exactly what Ashley and Mary-Kate did this past weekend at the Opening Ceremony reception in Japan, when they paired Maison Michel's laced ears with their LBDs — was Madonna on to something? Check out Ashley donning quirky lace Mickey Mouse ears with an LBD from The Row collection, cream coat, Ralph Lauren tortoise sunglasses, studded sandals, and funky red handbag — both from Prada.

Fun, fun, and fun. Nothing says Casino glamour like the blonde chubby. This is something I think Sharon Stone's turbulent character wore several of throughout the Scorsese film, and, she looked fabulous.

Ashley Olsen shows us the power of accessories. To offset the all-black ensemble she wore to the David Letterman show, she threw on gorgeously large jeweled earrings that steal the show. Always one to represent her clothing lines, Ashley wore an LBD and black blazer from The Row.

Late last week, Ashley Olsen made an appearance at a Dallas boutique to promote her designer collection, The Row, wearing a cashmere tunic and black leather leggings from the line.
Since Spring 2007, when the collection debuted with 18 knits, production has expanded to 110 looks for Fall 2008, including a $4,500 natural kangaroo coat and a $4,000 seamed black leather poncho with raw edges.
"What it always comes down to is simple, clean lines and beautiful fabrics," Ashley said.

We finally have a sneak peek at Mary Kate and Ashley's most recent creations for their fashion line, The Row. Named after Savile Row, a corner in Central London famous for its top-notch tailored suits, their line has been pretty hush hush since its launch last Fall. I actually went to Barneys in Manhattan a couple of months ago to purchase a piece or two, but the only thing left was one simple black tank dress and it was crazily overpriced.
