Love It or Hate It? Plenty of Pucci

In the last episode of The City, Whitney Port visits the offices of Allison Brod PR in New York. I couldn't help but notice that the work space is also literally covered in Emilio Pucci. From the framed scarves on every wall to throw pillows on every sofa and chair, it seems that you can't turn your head without spotting a half a dozen Pucci products.

I did some digging and as it turns out, the brand is one of ABPR's clients, so that somewhat explains it. I love Pucci's colorful, graphic prints as much as the next girly girl, but from a design standpoint, I think Allison's gone a little bit overboard - her website is even dripping in the patterns! Indulging in a guilty pleasure, I recently caught up on a few episodes of The City. Aside from the scripted drama and fab fashions, the series also gave me my fill of interior design eye candy. I'm coveting Whitney Port's tiered, ruffled, green/blue gradient shower curtain. It's fun and girlish, with a little Latin flair, whilst also subdued. Whether you're a lover or hater of Olivia Palermo, you have to admit the girl has mad styling skills. That's why ASOS snatched up the PYT to pose for its August issue. During the photo shoot - which she also helped style - Olivia talked about her evil portrayal in The City, her drama with Whitney Port, beau Johannes Huebl, and what we love most of all: her incredible sense of fashion.

It's unfortunate. But I think that people understand that what they see on TV is not who I am. It's not accurate. I'm funny, I'm enthusiastic, and I'm not a negative person. I always try and look for the good in things.

Last night was the season finale of The City as well as the last-ever episode of The Hills. Both shows had dramatic endings, especially when the backdrops and crew were revealed in the latter. But let's focus on the positive - the red carpet style of the MTV stars who showed up for the wrap party in Hollywood. Audrina and Whitney (in Matthew Williamson) opted for color, Lo (in Tadashi Shoji) went with white, and Kristin (in Zuhair Murad) and Lauren (in Tadashi Shoji) chose shine. All their mini frocks reveal their gorgeous stems, but which reality starlet's look is most Fab?

How Whitney Port Stays Active in the City

Will you be watching tonight's season finale of The City? The show's star Whitney Port recently appeared in OK Magazine and shared her fitness regimen and tips for a healthy diet. Whitney also blogged about the OK story, giving us a fun behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot.Here are the highlights:

On the importance of good health: "I'm definitely not trying to lose any weight - just be healthy . . . I learned from [former trainer] Donny Connolly to focus on being strong, not just being skinny."
On being fit every day: "Living in New York, I walk around a lot. I'm really active!"
On her fitness regimen: "I tried Pilates for the first time about two months ago, I liked it. I used to dance in high school, so I felt like it felt very natural for my body. Other than that, I try to walk on the treadmill, walk outside, and do weight training. When I can't make it to the gym, I'll do push-ups and sit-ups in my apartment."
On healthy eating: "I'm the kind of person where if I have a couple bites of something, that will satisfy my craving . . . [But] sometimes I'll eat so fast, I won't even realize how much I'm eating. The key is to eat slow, and make sure you're not eating past your satisfaction limit."
On snacking: "I'm a really big snacker. If I don't constantly have energy from food then I get in a bad mood."
On her biggest food vice: "Bread and butter is my favorite food. I could eat that all day long, and if someone puts it in front of me, it's always very hard to say no to it. That's the biggest challenge."

The office has a new hire, and you're asked to show her around the office. You:

Take her around, just as the boss suggested, keep it pretty much to the point, but you're friendly and polite, as always.

Skip it. Show her to her desk and suggest she do what she wants; you've got a prior commitment and can't cancel for the new girl.

Take her around and casually introduce her to co-workers, sharing the office gossip and your take on what's lacking at the company.

Take her around enthusiastically. You're excited to meet a new face that could be an asset, and want to know what the new girl can bring to the table.

You had a rough night, but come morning, there's a big meeting and your boss is counting on you. The alarm goes off and you:

Hop out of bed and get going prepping your notes and refreshing your research. You're not about to blow it when your boss is counting on you, but you are super nervous. Think you can pull it off?

Ignore the alarm and keep sleeping. Your boss will understand, and someone else can handle it. You've proven yourself at the company, and one morning like this shouldn't jeopardize your position.

Hit snooze for just a bit longer. You're not too worried; you know the material, you're confident, and you can always wing it.

Alarm? You've been up for hours, in fact, you're already at your desk going over final details. Forget last night - this is go time.

Your boss is eager to present a new idea in this week's staff meeting, but the new plan is obviously flawed. Still no one's speaking up, so you:

Don't speak up either. You recognize that there are problems, but you're going to support your boss and the plan. If there are problems, you'll troubleshoot along the way.

Speak up, and announce the drawbacks to the plan. It's not a great idea, and you can't be shy about saying so, besides, you've got something better up your sleeve.

Make a joke to break the tension and come out with it. You say what everyone else is thinking, and hope your boss rethinks the plan with the help of some of your suggestions.

Wait till the end of the meeting and address your boss privately, offering solutions and a way to troubleshoot the idea together. From there, you can institute the best plan of action for the company.

Your co-worker is dealing with a breakup and venting about the situation to you at work. You:

Talk with her quietly and sympathize, but if your boss walks by, immediately turn your attention to your computer and quietly ignore her.

Tell her directly that discussing her personal life at work is inappropriate. You don't have time to make friends at work anyway.

Talk with her openly at your desks. If someone's having a tough day, the boss should understand.

Suggest you move to the hall to chat for a moment. Ask if she's OK to keep working, and suggest if she's not that it's best if she go home.

Your company is launching a new product, and your boss is looking to get people on board the team to manage the rollout. When she asks if you have room in your schedule, you:

Tell her you're not sure you're the one for the job, but you'll do your best. For now, the most important thing is to show your interest.

Say no. You're already so consumed with work, important projects of your own - not to mention you do have personal relationships to maintain as well.

Tell her you're excited about it, but also had your eye on another project. Can't you do both?

Ask to be the team leader. You've been awaiting the rollout and the opportunity to lend your voice to the project.

Last night was the final episode before the season finale of The City. Time flies when you're having drama! Speaking of drama, the newest tiff is between roommates Whitney and Roxy.
