Thierry Mugler, under the direction of Nicola Formichetti, presented a sculpted, tight, and provocative collection for Spring 2012. It's impossible to look at the collection and not wonder what Lady Gaga will be wearing - the nude and tan minidresses, a cutout white jumpsuit, or the gothic black uniforms? While much of the collection is intended for more daring fashionistas, there was a very cool pair of glittery leggings paired with an asymmetric tunic that could make its way to a red carpet outing near you.

Trends: sculptural cuts, cutouts, bandage dressing, short hemlines, asymmetry.
Colors: black, white, gold, nude, tan.
Key Look: the gold beaded leggings and tunic.
Accessories: minimal platform sandals.
Who Would Wear It: Aside from Lady Gaga? These are showstopping looks meant for music videos - think Rihanna and a non-pregnant Beyoncé.

Thierry Mugler Makes "Flavored" Perfumes

In October, Thierry Mugler (the house responsible for Angel) is releasing new, "flavored" versions of its most popular scents in a series called Taste of Fragrance ($90 each). Mugler's four anchor scents are each getting a unique “taste enhancer” that turns them all into gourmand scents plus slightly modified atomizers. If you're a chocoholic who loves Angel (already a gourmand perfume) for its candied scent, you'll probably want to try this new version, which also has a pure cocoa powder note that's supposed to be rich and a little bitter at the same time. It also sounds good for those who love Angel but are tired of smelling exactly like other Angel fans, especially since it's limited edition.

The other scents have gotten similarly foodie-pleasing makeovers. Alien now has a salted butter caramel accord, Womanity is laced with fig chutney, and A*men got a strong dose of red pepper. They all sound pretty tasty; will you choose a fragrance that's good enough to eat?

Eva Mendes Named the New Face of Thierry Mugler's Angel

There's no denying her sultriness (even one of her hypersexy Calvin Klein Secret Obsession ads was banned from TV), and now, Eva Mendes has a new fragrance deal. She's just been named the face of Angel by Thierry Mugler.

Eva, who succeeds Naomi Watts, was chosen because of what Mugler calls her "independence, determination, and humor." While Naomi's ads focused more on the ethereal, I'm sure we'll be seeing Eva in some more come-hither posing. Are you glad to see Eva in a whole new fragrance campaign, or is it just too back-to-back with her Calvin Klein deal?

When Lady Gaga is involved, you can bet this is NSFW. While it was big news that Nicola Formichetti, Lady Gaga's original stylist, would be presenting his first womenswear collection for resurgent Paris design house Thierry Mugler, it might have been bigger news that Vogue March cover girl Lady Gaga would be walking in the show, which was live-streamed yesterday on Facebook. Nicola presented his bevy of models as various versions of Catwoman, wearing dangerously high shoes that caused a few almost-spills. And we're not talking pussycats. More like dangerous, claw-your-eyes-out cats, led by big cat Lady Gaga. She had no problem with the treacherous shoes and later, at the afterparty, wore one of the runway looks with an equally treacherous-looking pair of black boots. Lady Gaga Walks Mugler Show With Her Edgiest Nails Yet

Lady Gaga walked the runway for Mugler at Paris Fashion Week, wearing big everything: huge hair, tons of makeup, and her most baroque nails yet. She's been favoring high fashion almond-shaped nails lately, and at this show, she had them filed to points and dazzled up with what looked like mini chains and bits of shrapnel hanging off the ends. Her hair and makeup didn't disappoint either; she wore enormous blond pigtails, white face paint, tons of black eye shadow with heavy false lashes, a very Madonna beauty mark, and bright lipstick. What kind of experimental style do you think Gaga should try next?

A corset bodice lends a sultry vibe, while jewels are understated - just a pair of diamond earrings, a bangle, and a black box clutch are her choice accessories. Hair is loose and pretty, while makeup is understated. Just a smoky eye to further the glam. Thoughts?

This one's for all the rabid fans of Thierry Mugler Angel, the cotton-candy-caramel-vanilla juggernaut that launched the entire gourmand fragrance genre. This year, the brand decided to create a fancy little stocking stuffer, the Angel Solid Perfume Ring, which is silver plated and encrusted with diamantes. It's a little bigger and bolder than I might go, but I'd be surprised if it didn't sell out when it hits Saks Fifth Avenue shelves later this month. Would you be pleased to receive one of these, or would you rather just get a nice bottle of the stuff?
