Esteban Cortazar, the 24-year-old creative director of Emanuel Ungaro, is said to be leaving his post. The reason? Supposedly the designer reached a standstill with the Ungaro management over its latest marketing and advertising strategy: using celebrities for future ad campaigns.

Gap just got cooler with its latest guest designers: Alexander Wang and Vena Cava. For their Gap Design Editions collection, Wang and Cava reworked the brand's iconic khaki fabrics and created sharp Aztec print dresses, slick motorcycle jackets, trench coats, shorts, and a ton of toppers. Goodies launch June 16 in stores and online.

We love Chloe, you love Chloe, Diesel founder and designer Renzo Rosso loves Chloe (PDA at left). But aside from the lovin', apparently Chloe is presenting a men's unisex clothing line at Paris men's fashion week next week. Who knew?

It's with utmost sadness that I report that one of our favorite online retailers, eLuxury.com, is planning on closing its retail operation over the next six months. While many shops are closing due to the recession, it is said that eLuxury's closure isn't due to its financial performance. Rather, it's because many of the brands it carries have their own online presence.

Yesterday, we announced Target's Loomstate eco-chic collaboration but there's more where that came from. The retailer has just nabbed two new brands for its accessories collaborations. Felix Rey designers Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk are set to create an exclusive handbag collection launching March 29.

Funny, just yesterday, when I was preparing to speak on a panel about sustainable fashion, I was talking about how Target should do an eco line. The fashion gods were listening because I woke up to the news that designer Gregory Rogan is once again teaming up with Target and this time with his Loomstate line.
Launching just before Earth Day, April 19 to be exact, Loomstate for Target line will offer environmentally friendly goods for women and men.

The rumors were true! Target has just announced Alexander McQueen as its first designer in a new fashion series dubbed Designer Collaborations. Not to be mistaken for the popular Target Go International collections, the new Designer Collaborations initiative focuses on bringing creations from established designers to the mass market at Target prices.

Atención! We just got word that Erickson Beamon will be Target's fourth limited-edition jewelry designer. Designers Karen Erickson and Vicki Beamon, whose namesake offerings sells for over $500, have teamed up with Target to create a collection of super cool adornments.
