This Just In! Esteban Cortazar Out at Ungaro?

Esteban Cortazar, the 24-year-old creative director of Emanuel Ungaro, is said to be leaving his post. The reason? Supposedly the designer reached a standstill with the Ungaro management over its latest marketing and advertising strategy: using celebrities for future ad campaigns. About half a dozen potential candidates have been discussed, Lindsay Lohan being one of them. Ungaro hasn't done a womenswear campaign for years, and executives are hoping the celebrity pull will liven the house. Esteban is incredibly talented; I'll be bummed if he goes.

This Just In! Alexander Wang and Vena Cava For Gap

Gap just got cooler with its latest guest designers: Alexander Wang and Vena Cava. For their Gap Design Editions collection, Wang and Cava reworked the brand's iconic khaki fabrics and created sharp Aztec print dresses, slick motorcycle jackets, trench coats, shorts, and a ton of toppers. This Just In! Chloe Sevigny's Men's Unisex Clothing Line

We love Chloe, you love Chloe, Diesel founder and designer Renzo Rosso loves Chloe (PDA at left). But aside from the lovin', apparently Chloe is presenting a men's unisex clothing line at Paris men's fashion week next week. Who knew? According to the blonde eclectic, “It’s skinny, chain-y, stud-y." What's most baffling is the term "men's unisex." So it's a men's line, but will be appealing to women as well? Guess we'll have to wait in perplexity until the unveiling.

This Just In! Portia de Rossi's Vegan Shoe Line

Molly is all ears down in LA at the 2009 Winter TCAs. And who did she get an earful from regarding a specially designed Vegan shoe line? We know her, we love her hair, and she's Ellen's main squeeze - Portia de Rossi. An avid animal protector, Portia was promoting her new show but also divulging juicy details. She also swore she tries to wear leather as little as possible. No further details, but we're all ears now.

This Just In: eLuxury.com to Close Up Shop

It's with utmost sadness that I report that one of our favorite online retailers, eLuxury.com, is planning on closing its retail operation over the next six months. While many shops are closing due to the recession, it is said that eLuxury's closure isn't due to its financial performance. Rather, it's because many of the brands it carries have their own online presence.

But it's not all tears over at the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned company. “Starting in mid 2009, eLuxury’s new mission will be to create an ‘e-window’ into the world of luxury, by serving as an information reference for luxury in fashion, art de vivre, leather goods, wines and spirits, watches and jewelry, gastronomy, cars, yachts, and services,” said a spokeswoman. We will miss shopping from the high-end retailer, but look forward to what sounds like an exciting online magazine.

This Just In! Targets Taps Felix Rey And Trish Carroll For Exclusive Accessory Collaborations

Yesterday, we announced Target's Loomstate eco-chic collaboration but there's more where that came from. The retailer has just nabbed two new brands for its accessories collaborations. Felix Rey designers Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk are set to create an exclusive handbag collection launching March 29. Also, Trish Carroll will design a limited edition footwear collection called Miss Trish of Capri. Trish's offerings debut April 5. Target, the retailer that keeps on giving.

Funny, just yesterday, when I was preparing to speak on a panel about sustainable fashion, I was talking about how Target should do an eco line. The fashion gods were listening because I woke up to the news that designer Gregory Rogan is once again teaming up with Target and this time with his Loomstate line.

Launching just before Earth Day, April 19 to be exact, Loomstate for Target line will offer environmentally friendly goods for women and men. That means environmentally sensitive materials like 100 percent certified organic cotton and sustainable fibers like linen and silk. Said items will be priced between $15 and $45.

I snapped up a couple items from Rogan's GO International line for Target, which was also eco-friendly, so I'm expecting the same sensibility: nature-inspired tees, everyday hoodies and relaxed separates. Nice.

This Just In! Alexander McQueen For Target

The rumors were true! Target has just announced Alexander McQueen as its first designer in a new fashion series dubbed Designer Collaborations. Not to be mistaken for the popular Target Go International collections, the new Designer Collaborations initiative focuses on bringing creations from established designers to the mass market at Target prices. Nice!

The Alexander McQueen for Target collection is said to resemble the aesthetic of his younger McQ line, seen left. Drawing inspiration from punk singer, Leila Moss, from The Duke Spirit, McQueen's collection will be adorned with edgy details such as studs and tattoo-print fabrics. Sweaters, skinny jeans, dresses, trench coats, swimwear, and blazers will be made in muted colors with bright accents. Squirming with excitement? The highly touted collection will debut in March. We can't wait!

This Just In! Nicole Richie's House of Harlow at Kitson

A few days before the November ETA, Nicole Richie's costume jewelry line has been released to Kitson LA. And the pieces are cool. With an Egyptian feel, gold, silver, and enamel bangles rule the offerings. The big black and gold ring Nicole has been modeling is there too, for a keen $38. Did I not mention the price is right? Most pieces are below $70, except for this large black and gold cuff, which is on pre-order for $125. A fine beginning to what I'm sure will be a sparkling endeavor.

Atención! We just got word that Erickson Beamon will be Target's fourth limited-edition jewelry designer. Designers Karen Erickson and Vicki Beamon, whose namesake offerings sells for over $500, have teamed up with Target to create a collection of super cool adornments. The Erickson Beamon for Target collection will be available Feb. 15 at Target stores and at Target.com. We can't wait!
